A high-tech society features advanced technology and technological systems. It is characterised by the use of cutting-edge technology to enhance the capabilities of people and expand human possibilities. This includes advanced communication systems, automation, robotics, and artificial intelligence. In general society is shaped by the historical context in which it exists. There are cycles of influence in society that give rise to technologies and ideologies whilst impacting society for better or for worse.

The high-tech capabilities of heaven will always be beyond anything else, and as we know from the Bible, the influence of these continues to impact civilisation and society.

At any given moment God has access to any point in time or eternity, any place in existence past, present, or future, any fact, figure, or feature knowable, any concept, category, or communication possible, and can allow whomever He wills to observe and interact with Him and any of these by means of symbols, signs, revelations, dreams, and visions.

Those to whom God revealed information through visions include:

Eliphaz (a friend of Job, Job 4),

Abraham (Genesis 15),

Jacob (Genesis 46),

Balaam the false prophet (Numbers 24),

Micaiah (1Kings 22)

Samuel the prophet (1Samuel 3).

Nathan the prophet was told not only that King David's throne would be established forever but also that David's son (Solomon) would build a temple for God in Jerusalem (2Samuel 7).

Ezekiel had many things revealed to him through visions. The Bible records He was shown God's glory and his throne (Ezekiel 1), was informed of the abominations committed at Jerusalem's temple (chapter 8) and was taken before Israel's elders in Babylonian captivity (chapter 11). He also saw a valley of dry bones representing Israel regathered (chapter 37) and witnessed God at the temple calling for his people to repent (chapter 43).

Daniel saw several visions, including one showing four great world empires (Daniel 7), the Ancient of Days sitting on his throne (Daniel 7:9 - 10) and a prophetic ram and a he-goat (chapter 8). He also saw the events which will occur in the end time (chapter 10).

Isaiah was told, through visions, of future events to occur to the Kingdoms of Judah and Jerusalem (Isaiah 1, 22) and Babylon (chapter 21).

Many of the Old Testament's Minor Prophets received this type of revelation, including Obadiah, Nahum, Habakkuk, Amos, and Zechariah.

Peter, James, and John saw the transfiguration of Jesus in a vision and the appearance of Moses and Elijah (Matthew 17:1 - 9).

Stephen, just before becoming the first Christian martyr, also was able to miraculously see God's throne with Jesus standing at his right hand (Acts 7:55).

A believer named Ananias has Jesus tell him to visit a repentant Saul (Apostle Paul) and heal him (Acts 9).

A Roman Centurion named Cornelius is told to request that Peter come and baptize him just before Peter is miraculously shown a sheet filled with unclean animals (Acts 10).

Visions were used to reveal all the events of Revelation to the apostle John.

Apostle Paul's visions

Apostle Paul experiences several miraculous revelations throughout his life. His first one is seeing a man named Ananias coming to baptize and heal him (Acts 9).

Soon after his baptism he flees to Arabia, where he is taught the gospel by Christ himself through what is likely a series of visions (Galatians 1:11 - 12, 17 - 18).

Later in Paul's ministry, he miraculously sees in his mind a man from Macedonia asking him for help (chapter 16), being told to speak boldly in Corinth (chapter 18), and informed to leave Jerusalem immediately (chapter 22).

Paul is also blessed to see in his mind's eye the 'third heaven' where God's throne resides (2Corinthians 12).

What is their purpose?

Visions serve a variety of purposes. They can convey what will happen in the future (prophecy) or teach spiritual truth. They can be used to strengthen a believer during a trial, reveal events that would otherwise be unknown or reveal God's majesty. They can confirm punishment for sin, inform someone to do the Eternal's will, or even provide encouragement and hope. Lastly, they can confirm a blessing or promise, or reveal our Father's plan for man.

It is a risky thing for any person to claim that God has given them visions when, in reality, he has not done so. Those in the Bible who lied about receiving messages from the Lord, regardless of the means, were put to death in the Old Testament (Deuteronomy 13:1 - 3, 5, see also Jeremiah 23:16, 27, 32).

Im not to big on a high-tech society lately. My escrow went up twice in last two months. My home owners insurance did not go up

in 2021 or 2022. My taxes was 8 dollars less in 2022 than in 2021. They blame the computer for the mistakes.

@NConly I'm not much into technology anyway and if practising Acts 2.42 activities work perfectly well without a lot of technology, so be it, I say......!

I think the concept is as relatable as water/steam/ice for triune comparisons.   I don't believe our AI and Quantum Computing have the capabilities to neurologically speak to anyone of our minds like God clearly does.  AI and PC definitely would not relate on a scale involving emotions and feelings.   God assures you it is Him when He speaks to us.

This has been one of the better ways to express another view of God and how He keeps in Contact with us.

Interesting concept comparing man's pithy tech to God's capabilities. All of takes is one long term widespread  power outage for all of our 'tech' to be soon disabled.

Many of the kings of Israel placed their full faith and confidence, NOT in God's ability to protect them, but in their own military might or in certain alliance treaties with surrounding nations.  Time after time, God condemned them for their lack of faith in Him.  Similarly today, too many Christians put faith in the military or technological prowess of their governments, but what does God have at hand in dealing with them?

*A hurricane controlled by God can disable battle ships

*A big snowstorm can disable military jets

*Solar flares could knock-out advanced communication systems

*Etc.

The bottom line, with just the power of storms, all the technology and military might that nations have can be easily eliminated.  "Do not put your trust in nobles, nor in the son of earthling man, to whom no salvation belongs" (Ps 146:3).

It's funny that as I was reading your OP the image that came to mind was the little fumbling man behind the big curtain pulling all the levers in the Wizard of Oz.....yeah,I can't imagine Heavens tech ,the real thing with no one behind a curtain but the Great & Powerful Almighty One True God!!!Glory to God Most High!

We see so many sci-fi movies about computer implants in the brain giving mad scientists access to the mind, will & emotions of another human being- I don't imagine it too far fetched an idea - ah,but the spirit of a man,the Eyes of Understanding....nope nope, that jazz will not work - what can man do to you( Matt 10:28)

So many interesting sub-topics could be discussed and speculated about between physical and spiritual technology. The Bible has much to say about high-tech technology but lacks specifics, and there is an unseen technological realm.

Daniel 12:4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

We could say knowledge translates into technology. For thousands of years, knowledge has doubled about every century, and some say knowledge is doubling every twelve hours now. To the ancient reader, how is spiritual technology conveyed for all generations to understand the meanings?

Before the industrial revolution and “iron horse,” there were no words in Webster's 1828 dictionary for automobile, nuclear fission, portals, wireless, microwave, x-ray, physics, jets, rockets, etc. Thus, bows, arrows, chariots, horses, ladders, doors, etc.

The following are a few interesting verses that involve spiritual technology (Ps. 68:17; Gen. 28:12; Num. 22:31; Luke 24:31; 1 Kings 6:17; and Ezekiel chapter one.

In 2 Kings 19:35, a single angel slew 185,000 people overnight with a sword. Assuming a twelve-hour night, 257 people per minute, or twelve every second. Is this “sword” representative of a technological means or a literal sharp sword? Also, the death angel of the last plague of the exodus.

We have many questions:

·         How does the heavenly host travel from point A to point B? They do not fly like the comic book Superman or have the speed of thought. As with the angel sent to Daniel delayed 21 days, they can be physically delayed. It appears horses and chariots are symbolic modes of celestial transportation.

·         How is heavenly war conducted? I cannot recall any spiritual beings being maimed, injured, or killed. The angel left Daniel to fight the coming kings of Persia and Greece. Angels are described as fighting and slaying with swords. Are they literal swords or symbolic of technology?

·         It is now official that UFOs (UAPs) are real and threaten aviation safety and national security. Which is most likely, these UFOs are ET from another galaxy and seeded us (panspermia), or of supernatural spiritual origin and another dimension?

As for me, if it goes beyond my ten fingers and ten toes (10+10=100), it is beyond my intelligence and pay grade.

Exponential curve.

Say you had a bottle. Within the bottle you place one live organism (knowledge). Also you place within the bottle air food and water. The organism(s) divides into two (doubles) each minute. The bottle will be completely full in twenty four hours.

When will the bottle be half full?

And the bottle gets bigger as it's contents does . . .

One of our great-nephews lived with us quite a bit in his early years, and one day asked how come something he dreamt a while ago actually happened more recently and caused him to remember the dream.

I told him the same thing happens to me on occasions and it could be something to do with magnetic fields, and God of course.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
