I know he returns in fire.I know his feet stand upon the earth as well because scripture says they do.

 

But it's the abomination of desolation that consumes the people in Jerusalem who have come against it.

That's what  the device does.Those who are not consumed have received rain from the Lord so that they are not consumed in the fire.

It's like walking in a furnace with the son of man.

Not the point. In every rapture scenario the proponents say, "God said." with utter surety and conviction. I see it in here in individuals all the time. Even while claiming "God said." and purporting to have the truth from the very lips of God Himself, the several stories will be quite different.

Pre trib: The rapture will come before the Tribulation

Mid trib: the rapture will happen in the middle of the week

Pre-wrath: The rapture will occur sometime in the last week, after the trib and before wrath

Partial Rapture: Add a rapture or two, what ever suits.

All claim God and the Holy Spirit told them this is the truth. 

It's smorgasbord of prophetic interpretation. Pick what you like. Don't like it, go get something different.

Why do you, out of all the above, have the the only reliable truth? Longevity? Chosen vocation? 

This is why I don't listen to men teach. I'll hit the books and prove if mankind is speaking the truth or not. 

They don't. Only the Holy Spirit, confirmed through the Word, speaks the truth.

Yes, but of course we will know that day, it is the Rapture we can not know, you see, the AGREEMENT where Israel joins the European Union (IMHO) will be apparent to everyone, right? So, then we count 1260 days until the middle of the week. This is another reason only a Pre Trib Rapture works, we KNOW when the Agreement between Israel and the E.U. (IMHO) happens, these things are always public. We will KNOW Jesus' return will be 2520 days after this AGREEMENT (Covenant) and the DOTL will be in the exact middle of those two events. So, Jesus did not say we would not know the 2nd Coming, as a matter of fact if the 70th week is exactly 7 years then we know the exact day of the 2nd coming will be on day 2520. We also know the exact day of the Rev. 8 Trumpet Judgments, it will happen on day 1260. We can see these things AND we can see this Rev. 8 Asteroid INCOMING because we have modern tools to do so with. Only a Pre Trib Rapture fits the we can not know the Day nor Hour. 

NO. This is all based off what was said about the Common Market decades ago. If this scenario was in fact true, then there would be no need for changes to the doctrine to fit evolving and current socio-political climate. 

I have been looking into this as long as you have and I remember what the pretrib doctrine was 40 years ago.
