There ya go!  Our sins are already forgiven.

You have verified what I've been hearing from numerous sources

So if someone does a bunch of sin, they will still be saved and go to heaven.

Again, "Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;" Romans 3:25 KJV

Remember John the Baptist  REPENT....and if one doesn't repent then all their sins follow them, and if one thinks to wait until the very end thinking they will just repent then, they are going to be in for a big surprise.  GOD knows our INTENTS.

Oh how I abhor that 'OSAS doctrine'.

Jesus did NOT become sin, HE BECAME the PERFECT sacrifice for sin, THE LAMB of GOD.

He PAID THE PENALTY for the SINS of the world but only those repented of are COVERED under that willing sacrifice.

Yes, all PAST SINS are forgiven which in no way gives ANYONE a license to sin.

The gift of Salvation is TO KEEP THOSE who are obeying and striving to keep themselves Holy, FROM GOING TO HELL

if when they DIE they have an UNREPENTED sin attached to their person.

IF they have TONS OF SIN when they die, then THEY are NOT walking Holy, they are not BEING LED by the Holy Spirit, they are not obeying the Lord AND GOD WILL NOT BE MOCKED.  Do not be deceived by any man.

And JUST BECAUSE we are saved from PAYING the penalty of sin DOESSN'T MEAN WE will not BE JUDGED BY the things we have done.  DO not be deceived, there are going to be recompenses coming both for the good and bad we have done.

1For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

2For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven:

3If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked.

4For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life.

5Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit.

6Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:

7(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)

8We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

9Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.

10For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

Instead of going to hell and waiting until Christ returns to hopefully GET OUT OF THERE (as NOT ALL THE DEAD WILL RISE at that time, some having chosen DEATH already and of course the angels in chains awaiting the time of the GWTJ, and those of destruction)

we go to heaven to be JUDGED and to RECEIVE either rewards or I don't even want to think about it actions....

Hi, Best way to learn is to dive into the word of God, as led by the Holy Spirit and just read the Bible, read for the enjoyment of it. Ignore all the cross references, foot notes, verse numbers, and just read as though you were about to read a good book, or in the case of the Bible  a collection of many  good books.

While many  are told where to start by others, again that is an opinion of someone. As it turned out for me God directed me to the story  called the Book Of Job. Can't say I'd recommend it for most as a start, BUT it was perfect for me.

God is awesome ask him where to start.

The thing about the Bible is the more you read it the better it gets, quite the opposite of all other books.
To be honest, the first time I read it cover to cover I used 'highlighters' to make it 'fun' and to be sure I had read every word thinking I would read it the one time and be done.  Little did I know it would become the most interesting, fun and exciting thing in my entire life.  Leave it to GOD to keep it interesting.  I'm sure I will be in my spiritual body before I get to the end of the story...then again, I wonder if there even is one...

Hi @DeighAnn As the Word of God increasingly grips us, I am reminded of the words of Anne Steele in the 18th century:

"O may these hallowed pages be

My ever dear delight!

And still new beauties may I see,

And still increasing light!"

A man asked Jesus this very question, "...What good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life?", and Jesus replied, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. (Matthew 19:16-19).

This was a direct answer to a direct question, which all of us will do well to take heed to. Anybody can claim to have faith, but actions speak louder than words. Faith and works go together and you can't have one without the other. "Here is the patience of the saints; here are they that keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus" (Revelation 14:12).

Agree we need to know Jesus but from what John 17:3 Jesus said : "We must take in knowledge of both him and who sent him".  Who would that be??

Acts 4:12

"Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” Okay.

That does not leave what we do from there "up to us" to do as one may please. There is awareness Holy Spirit led awareness that compels one to do what blesses God.

Galatians 2:20

" I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me."

I do NOT become aware of the sacrifice made by Yeshua  in my behalf and then return to life drinking out of the same old bottle of booze. Or as the Bible  shares be like a dog turning back to eat it's own vomit. It  the rest is not al up to me.

I am a new person, not the old one dressed up. I did not put lipstick on a pig.

I have been changed inside and out with new high privilege and much higher responsibility in my Holy Spirit given awareness of God. His sovereignty over all matters all things including me. That is my experience from which I share my  conclusion.

All true but remember it is up to each individual to respond to the unction of the holy spirit.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
