There ya go!  Our sins are already forgiven.

You have verified what I've been hearing from numerous sources

So if someone does a bunch of sin, they will still be saved and go to heaven.

Yes, but that child of God will not be pleasing to Christ and will suffer from loss of rewards - there will be accountability, angst and likely regret for not building with anything eternally profitable. I want to hear those words from my Lord, "Well done good & faithful servant - enter into the joy of your Lord!" Don't you?

If the only thing we need to know is Jesus, but then promptly forget His Word, forget His commands and forget what He wants, what do we really know?

The general consensus I'm hearing from most people is that we absolutely cannot lose salvation after getting saved

So apparently it's true that it doesn't matter is one does sinful stuff or not because they'll go to heaven in the end so it's all good!

I find it odd that some say you shouldn't do sin stuff and then turn around and say you'll still to to heaven if you do but it's just not recommended.

That's like going to buy a set of tires and they say we don't recommend that you drive around with no road hazard coverage but if you don't get road hazard it's all good.

Hi @Stan Murff Good to look at theology from the wording of Scripture itself; Romans 8.38-39 is a wondrous passage:

"For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Indeed, the whole chapter 8 of Romans is an encouragement to the believer.

But as you said earlier all our sins are still forgiven so even if we live in sin we still get to go to heaven.

Your earlier post just comes right out and says this.

It helped clear thing up to let me know that no matter how I live I still get to go to heaven!

Sounds like what all the preachers say is no matter how we live in our life we still get to go to heaven!  Thanks!

Paul also speaks in Romans of 'the obedience of faith' and 'obedience to the faith' in the first and the last chapter.

Not all preachers say that, and this scriptural promise is for those who are already in Christ. How can you be in Christ if you are living life outside of Him?

Romans 8:1:

There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who[a] do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

You cannot live your life out in the flesh and expect to be spiritually connected to Christ. The more we dwell in His Spirit, in His Word, in worship of Him, in prayer to Him,in His presence, the more we are a part of Him. No one else can sever that connection, but we can but walking away from Him and live in the dictates of the flesh, which are sin and death.

But that doesn't mean one won't go to heaven if they don't do obedience since all our sins are already forgiven

Seems like the street preacher guys should be telling everyone to just pray the sinners prayer and not worry about any of the rest of it and they'd get lots of people to get saved!

That way nobody has to worry about living right and all that and they can keep the lifestyle they're already living and just believe

They all preach it's faith alone and no works so all we have to do is believe what Jesus did and after than even if people so sin in their lives it doesn't really matter because they have been saved and they cannot lose their salvation!

Apparently Jesus drank alcohol so how is that living outside of him?

And if all future sins have already been forgiven why would it matter?

Drinking alcohol is not a sin, but getting drunk and willfully placing yourself in a position of possible danger to yourself and others due to lack of self control is sinful.

The gift of forgiveness is for each of us to accept or refuse. Why be rescued from sin only to go back to it?

Romans 6:1-3

What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? 2 Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it? 3 Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death?

Proverbs 26:11

As a dog returns to his own vomit, So a fool repeats his folly.

2Peter2:20-22

20 For if, after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the latter end is worse for them than the beginning. 21 For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them. 22 But it has happened to them according to the true proverb: “A dog returns to his own vomit,” and, “a sow, having washed, to her wallowing in the mire.”

If we really want a relationship with Christ, King of kings and Lord of Lords, who is so gracious to forgive, why would continually behave as though we have no relationship with Him at all? And was His sacrifice on the cross for our redemption so cheap?

Or are we just looking for excuses to keep on sinning? Those who love sin don't know it leads to death, and if they do they are the most miserable of all unless they turn to Jesus. Those who love God don't love sin, they are ashamed of it. That's where God's grace and forgiveness comes in. Like it or not, repentance is part of our true walk with Christ. We need to surrender every area of our lives to Him. Why? Because He's God and the life we live we live in Him.

We don't have to accept Him. Our choice. But it really comes down to loving sin OR loving Him.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
