Do you think this is the standard of judgement Christ will use at the Bema Seat judgement?  That is, according to how we have handled others?

Asked and answered.

Do you think that is the only standard He will use (how we've handled others), or will He also judge regarding what someone built with (wood, hay, straw/gold, silver, precious stones)?

line upon line, here a little, there a little...

7 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.

This passage, from verse 1 through 10, talks about quite a bit about our relationship with God (and the Father and the Son) and mentions others ("fellowship with one another") just once.  How do you see that it is saying to confess to one another here?

I have to wonder what that verse means to you.

What are you building?

Colossians 2:

16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink,

or in respect of an holy day, or of the new moon,

or of the sabbath days:

17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body of Christ.

Faithfulness to the Will of God is to Body of Christ.

I see it defined by the words "in Christ".

Good question!  I see that there is a grand building work going on in the universe.  Christ said He will build His church.  Paul says in Ephesians 2:22 that we are being built together as a habitation of God in Spirit.  All God's people from the OT to the NT are looking for a city, whose builder and maker is God.  Paul, in 1 Cor 3 said He laid the foundation (Christ), and that others are building on it.  Peter says in 1 Pet 2:5 that we are living stones, being built together as a spiritual house.

And we are called to participate in this building.  There are works to be done.  We can help build with things that will last (gold, silver, stones). . . or not (wood, hay, stubble).

To build properly, we need to be looking constantly to the Architect & Builder for His fresh direction, and walking in the things He gives us to do.  And we need to build in love.

So in that respect, how we are treating others is a big part of how we are building . . . Thanks for asking, as it caused me to think through this more!

Let me ask this; once a person is saved if they break fellowship with God the Father they should repent of each sin after being saved because each sin causes a break of fellowship ?

Fellowship is broken when a person sins.  So believers need to keep "short accounts", by confession as soon as they are aware of them.

1 John 1:9 is an on-going verse.  Notice the "if".  iow, if we confess our sins, God is faithful and will forgive us and cleans us of all unrighteousness.  This restores fellowship.

Believers who want their prayers heard need to realize the importance of confession.

Psa 66:18 -  If I had regarded sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened;

This is the kind of quick talking that causes fear to people and is not straight forward...there different kinds of sins and there sins where the fellowship is not broken but they become a catalyst to increase the fellowship of the Holy Spirit.

Where is the greater need there the Holy Spirit is very active....the sick have need of the doctor and the Holy Spirit does not abandon anyone at the time of their greates need.

This is the new covenant (in the Old one things were just the way you described it) and the people were not under the eternal fountain of the blood of the Slain Lamb of God who is also their Lord.

This is straight from the Bible.  And should cause joy for knowing HOW to restore fellowship when sin occurs.

Where does the Bible say this?  The kind of sin is irrelevant.  Or Psa 66:18 would have made that point as well.  It just says that regarding sin in the heart causes God to NOT LISTEN to your prayers.  And NO sin is a "catalyst" to increase fellowship of the Spirit.  That is just kidding yourself.  ALL sin results in loss of fellowship because God will not fellowship with any sin.

That is why when Jesus was bearing our sins on the cross, the Father and Spirit turned their backs on Jesus and forsook Him.

What are you saying here?  I cannot tell.  Rephrasing might help.

?

Are you disagreeing with 1 John 1:9, or Eph 4:30 or 1 Thess 5:19?

Do you believe that Jesus Christ is the one God has sends after you hear the news that he died on the Cross. The Slain Lamb of God who shed the blood of the Atonement for the forgiveness of our sins? If someone believes that, that very moment his sins are forgiven and will not be held against him at the time of his death

Romans 3:25
Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God

Only sins up to the time we repent and get born again... going forward IF we sin we must confess and forsake our sin to obtain mercy (Proverbs 28:13, 1 John 1:9)

We know this is true because of Galatians 6:7,8

Galatians 6:7,8
Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

Romans 8:13
if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

Our future sins are not automatically forgiven... this is why many claiming to be Christians are living sinful lifestyles because most churches preach this error.

Sure the Blood of Jesus has the power to wash away future sins but it's not applicable to the person who is still living in sin.

Once must confess and forsake their sin and quit doing the things they know are sinful and the things God's Word says is sinful to be forgiven.

For instance, they would say the unprofitable servant (Matt 25), who is thrown into outer darkness and experiences extreme anguish ("weeping & gnashing of teeth") remains in that state for a full 1,000 years during the kingdom period

That's what the catholics call purgatory... it's no scriptural in the least.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
