Of coarse they knew dusk and dawn but they were more intrigued by knowing how long they were. And it's 36 minutes each period dusk/dawn when there is light yet had nothing to gauge it by. Speaking of the Egyptians they were the first to invent the mechanical time piece that calculated the second dial.

In English, well sometimes slang like back in the day. Really there doesn't even need a time frame for each day, it's something no human was there and it's not salvation based. You believe earth is 6k I think it's much older.

Actually according to scripture the lights is the expanse are for seasons, days, years, the sun hadn't even been created yet.

The sun, moon and stars were all created on day four.

Light, yes, in a singularity.  He divided light from darkness... aka... light was blocked by a solidified earth.  Darkness was and is a result of light being blocked.  In this case, day was the lighted portion of the planet and night was the portion on the other side of the light.  The same holds true today, except now we have the moon and stars.  Now the darkness isn't absolute except when completely obscured by cloud cover.

That was in the beginning, day four starts off with let there be lights in the expanse. Later the sun moon stars are placed in the expanse.

Bottom line?   Genetics, fossil record, anatomy, and other evidence shows that humans are apes.    We were uniquely created by God Who gives each of us a living soul that makes us different than other animals, and beings potentially capable of fellowship with Him.

True.   Monkeys are not apes.  And humans are apes.   Genetically, anatomically, and by fossil evidence.   Would you like to learn how we know?
