Hi, That  is a presumption, a blatant generality, without basis.

You don't get out much do you?

Listen to some of the popular preachers that wear skinny jeans they so many think are hip and happening... eventually they'll get around to "all out future sins have already been forgiven" which is a straight up license to sin!

That's what got me to noticing this is hearing what people are claiming popular preachers are saying and I'd go look them up on you tube and they in your face with greasy grace

This is why so many claiming to be Christians are out drinking booze, cussing, having sex outside of marriage, claiming to be gay Christians, cross dressing Christians, sexually attracted to child Christians, and the filth just goes on and on by people claiming to be born again

All because they enjoy some greasy grace which all came out of once saved always saved, teaching people "it's not possible to lose your salvation" which the Word of God teaches it IS in fact possible for one to lose their salvation.

But greasy grace fills the pews and puts money in the preacher's pockets and so... greasy grace is what all who have itching ears love to hear while they drink some beer.  They'd rather smoke some weed then help those in need.

The bible speaks of people falling away from the faith.
They can't fall away if they were never in the faith to begin with.

It's good to go with the plain reading of scripture.

Sounds like a good excuse for discounting what the Lord said in His Word.

We all know who the author of this kinda thinking comes from.

What can I say to that . . . except peace, brother.

This is why they spend so much investigating what causes planes to crash in order to learn what NOT to do and to fix things that need to be fixed to help it not happen again!

Good analogy, with the default position being "things happen or don't because God allows or disallows them".

Actually there many bad things that happen because man is ignorant of God's promises and is not abiding in Christ being led by the Holy Spirit walking in God's Wisdom that can be found in His written Word..

God says His people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge. (Hosea 4:6)

Many fail to resist the devil by submitting to God so he'll flee (James 4:7)

If we walk after the flesh (sin) we shall reap corruption (Gal 6:7,8) and that is an open door to the devil to come in to one's life and steal, kill, and destroy! (John 10:10)

God is not allowing bad things to happen willy nilly as though it's His will to cause evil to come upon people.  Those who believe that have the Lord confused with the devil.

If the Lord is allowing bad things to happen it's because someone is either in disobedience, or they are ignorant of God's promises, and sometimes people let things they have been taught slip and they quit believing for the Lord's protection.

Hebrews 2:1-3
Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.
For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward;
How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;

Don't tell those "reformers" about any of this because they claim we have to do nothing which is a message that makes the devil very happy.

We are co-laborers with God (1 Corinthians 3:9) and if we aren't living in submission to the Lord abiding In Christ then that gives the devil an open door to come in to one's life and do his dastardly deeds!

Hi, That  is a presumption, a blatant generality, without basis. I counter it with the inspired of God teaching of the saints right from the get go from Paul who asks  and answers the question within the complete text of what is now referenced as Romans 5 and 6.

One is not to sin all the more that grace may abound all the more.

Let's not accuse one another but reason together.

Hebrews 10:26

For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, Jesus will not offer Himself again as another sacrifice.

Philippians 2:12

Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling;

Matthew 7:21

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.

Luke 9:62

But Jesus said to him, “No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.”

2 Peter 2:21-22

21 For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them. 22 But it has happened to them according to the true proverb: “A dog returns to his own vomit,” and, “a sow, having washed, to her wallowing in the mire.”

Another possibility is that the "bad things" happening are for their own good in the long run.  For instance, Mary & Martha were greatly distressed when Jesus delayed His coming to see Lazarus and he died.  But there was a greater purpose and glory in mind.

And the Lord did not give Mary and Martha cancer, burn their house down, put them in a wheel chair, cause them to go broke financially, make them homeless, etc, etc.

James 1:13
Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man

The Lord is not putting temptations, trials, and testings upon His people that are in any way evil to teach them things.  Those that are NOT abiding in Christ, that can be a different story because they are walking in evil.

To teach His people... God sent His Word, the Holy Ghost, and He gave apostles, prophets, evangelists, and pastors that teach for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ (Ephesians 4:11,12)

In the story of Job, God allowed "the adversary" to bring all sorts of evil upon Job and his family.  This tested Job and caused him to get his eyes off himself.  After he was humbled and learned that God was everything, Job was given more than he had before.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
