When my wife and I lost our first child during pregnancy, the kind understanding people at church said we didn't have enough faith! It was an ectopic pregnancy so it was doomed from the start. The second pregnancy ended in a miscarriage. So we have two children in heaven, none on Earth. The way society is now, I count that as a blessing although it didn't feel like that at the time.

Does it bother you as to WHY this happened, or did you land on believing it was the Lord that decided to take these babies which is what many believe?

There are answers in God's Word concerning stuff like this and I can tell you the Lord is not going around deciding to take babies away from people.

I won't say any more because very few are even interested in digging in to find out what God's Word says about this sort of thing.

Every since I was a kid I always wanted to know how things work and why things happen and all that.  I like details, so I guess that makes me weird! :noidea:

What I like most about this is you have stationed your being upon God's Word and nothing else... we know this about God's Word:
Matthew 24:35 (KJV)
[35] Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away
.

in addition specific:
2 Samuel 12:23 (KJV)
[23] But now he is dead, wherefore should I fast? can I bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me
.

So the very things you have found comfort in is established in the eternal truth of God's Word  Thanks for the Living witness!!!

Affirming and speaking favorably of a false religion is most definitely hurting them and providing opportunity for them to stumble.

You can continue to voice this false claim all you want. All I did was speak of my past experiences and the grace I received. If I used terminology that is familiar only to a Catholic, all the more to attract their interest and here out my testimony. I have in no way spoken favorably concerning growing up Catholic, in many ways it was a nightmare, but the Lord has been gracious to me.

If you want to ignore the full text of my posts to isolate on one thing to use as a basis for your words of condemnation, that is on you. Since you claim to uphold the words of Christ as preeminent, you would be wise to remember this statement.

John 12:

47 And if anyone hears My words and does not believe, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world.

48 He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him—the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day.

Preach the good news. If anyone does not receive them, that will be a basis for their judgment. Not your words of condemnation before the Day.

Here is an idea, why don't you originate your own "Catholic condemnation" thread of your own, and vacate this thread, which you seem intent to drag off topic for your own malicious purposes. May the Lord judge.

If no one feeds a troll, then said troll will go elsewhere looking for their meal. My counsel? Ignore trolls and don't waste time nor energy engaging with them, for that is precisely what the troll feeds upon. :)

I'm not sure of the timing, but I've been drawn to an in depth study of the book of Job. Things happened to Job and his family but he never cursed God as his friends suggested. The book of Job ends with Job being fully restored by God.

Engineers have that same desire, at least some do. As a Mechanical Engineer, I always wanted to learn new things. We are detail oriented for the most part.

No. I never had one. I was not particularly fond of his teaching style. "The Dake" KJV, as it was referred to was popular at my church, although any KJV was used during service. The more I read it, the more I realized I needed a more reliable commentary than Dake's. That's when I bought Unger's Two Volume Commentary on the Old Testament. Excellent choice but hard to find now. This was forty years ago and I have many Old and New Testament Commentaries, but none better. It's based on the NASB I believe. There's no electronic version available.

Hi, I think it may be available to "borrow" at Internet Archive https://archive.org/details/ungerscommentary0000unge/page/n5/mode/2upk  I really do not know anything about that website!

False claim yet again... I'm interested in posting things God's Word says... you get mad if someone dares to disagree with you.  Pride will not serve you well but whatever.

We'll play like this is Burger King and you can have it your way! :t2:

Here's what you said...

"one night the Holy Spirit reminded me of my Catholic Confirmation at age 12, and I vividly remembered my zeal for giving my life to Christ"

"Nor will I apologize to anyone because I grew up Catholic and went to Catholic school from K-8"... and then "I don't regret where I started from"

Whether you realize it or not, some would see these quotes and think being catholic might be a good thing to check out.  I know I know, that's not YOUR problem.  I get it now.

Numerous warnings in God's Word directs us to depart from false doctrine, but whatever.

I'll go in to the settings on my account and put you on the blocked list so I won't be able to see anymore of your posts so you can have a happy life and hopefully you don't run in to anybody else with a different opinion that you have seeing that really upsets you!

This is always used in efforts to make those that don't agree with someone as though they should not be talking about what they believe is in error.

So much for the friendly exchange of thoughts and ideas with "some" people.

Proverbs 18:24 A man that hath friends

must shew himself friendly: and there is

a friend that sticks closer than a brother.

Thanks for blocking me!

Anyone who actually saw the quotes would see what you left out.

I know, not your problem

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
