My opinion, they are basically a secular State now, but will be driven up against a wall and return to being a religious one for their very survival as they have done at other times in their past. This may happen soon, maybe in the very near future, or it may happen lifetimes from now, but I'm pretty sure it will happen no matter how much they might resist it.
