"I am a soldier in the army of my God"

The Lord Jesus Christ is my Commanding Officer.

The Holy Scripture is my code of conduct.
Faith, prayer and the Word are my weapons of warfare.

I have been taught by the Holy Spirit, trained by experience,
tried by adversity and tested by fire.

I am a volunteer in this army, and I am enlisted for eternity.
I will not get out, sell out, be talked out or pushed out.
I am faithful, reliable, capable and dependable.
If my God needs me, I am there. I am a soldier.

I am not a baby. I do not need to be pampered, petted,
primed up, pumped up, picked up, or pepped up. I am a soldier.
No one has to call me, remind me, write me, visit me, entice me or lure me.
I am a soldier. I am not a wimp. I am in place, saluting my King,
obeying His orders,
praising His name and building His kingdom!
No one has to send me flowers, gifts, food,
cards or candy, or give
me handouts. I do not need to be cuddled, cradled, cared for or
catered to. I am committed.
I cannot have my feelings hurt bad
enough to turn me around. I cannot be discouraged enough to
turn me aside. I cannot lose enough to cause me to quit.

When Jesus called me into this army, I had nothing. If I end up with nothing,
I will still come out ahead. I will win. My God has and will continue to supply all of my need.
I am more than a conqueror. I will always triumph. I can do all things through Christ.

The devil cannot defeat me. People cannot disillusion me. Weather cannot weary me.
Sickness cannot stop me. Battles cannot beat me. Money cannot buy me. Governments
cannot silence me, and hell cannot handle me. I am a soldier.

Even death cannot destroy me. For when my Commander calls me from His battlefield,
He will promote me to captain and then allow me to rule with Him.

I am a soldier in the army, and I’m marching claiming victory.
I will not give up. I will not turn around.

I am a soldier, marching heaven-bound.
Here I Stand! Will you stand with me?

I'm not a soldier anymore. Used to be, but no one goes to war alone. We saw that video Transformations of the Sentinel group. Yay! Lets do that. Lets go save Holland. Lets go bind these demons that blind people, pray for the lost, do spiritual warfare. Sure. That's for adults who are not lazy. For instance that guy in Africa. Nr. 1 they got paid. His wife didnt have to work to let him pastor a church. Nr 2 They had this whole church full of people who all prayed, a prayer cave, 24/7 prayer. First this group, then that group. Attacks from a witch. We had that too. They prayed with a few 100 and she left town and they got revival. We in Holland: Come on people. God said we need to pray every morning. Nah. Blah. We need to sleep in cause we need to go to the cafe. The few ones that did listen and come took offense, because all the time he said we have to pray like Daniel. God forgive us. Why us? They refuse. I don't refuse. And: God said it's only use if everyone comes. But they refuse so why do I even get up at 5 then if the prayer is useless anyway. And the last straw was a new woman accepted Jesus and she was the only one who came and started towhine about the others and my ex only babbled with her about it and I hate getting up early anyway, but for God okay, but not to hear dumb babbling, so then we quit the prayer altogether. She was a narcissist who cheated on her man. They divorced. Year later we divorced. I almost died. Church ceased to exist. 4 other couples divorced. Bye bye. Don't go to war and fight satan with a handful of lazy baby christians who take offense and are disobedient. Now I only pray with my mom for my dad, family, people we know. Saving Holland, good luck with it. People are standing up here and saving souls. I lay in bed because there's a lion in the street.

Hi @Renskedejonge Were you in the Dutch military? or maybe you were thinking of conflict in the spiritual sense?

Prayer and the Scriptures can indeed be a daily, continuing challenge and privilege; Paul links prayer with joy and thanksgiving in Philippians 4 and 1 Thess. 5.

Lol no I wasn't in the military. We had a small church and wanted to save everyone. But what did work was with terrorist attacks. We'd bind those demons and tell em to not attack our country and then the next day we'd hear some attack was stopped.

@Renskedejonge I was of course thinking of your phrase: "I'm not a soldier any more". ......

I see you meant it as a metaphor.......... :)

@Sower I am reminded of 2 Timothy 2.3-5:

"Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.

No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.

And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully."

I had a dream I can't share here now, but it has a repeating motif, not a repeating dream and in that dream I was dealing real evil. I was battling in my sleep.

Spiritual warfare does not just happen when we are awake.

A lot of stupid stuff happens when I'm dreaming...............

Really good that we have the Word of God to guide us.

I discovered in my dreams, if they were getting too much, I could simply call on the name of the Lord and everything would change for the better.  For instance, I used to have some pretty hairy reoccurring nightmares where demonic things were coming after me.  When I learned I could call on the name of the Lord Jesus while asleep, the nightmares stopped immediately and completely!

Thanks to the power in the name of the Lord Jesus, I very rarely ever have a nightmare . . . but if I do, I know I can always call on Him!

I think some people tend to have a wrong idea about being a `soldier` for Christ. They think of physical activities and being like a hero doing great things.

But that is NOT what it means. It is the continual dying to self in the everyday events of our lives. It is the shaping of our character to be like Christ, which He is doing by His Holy Spirit. It is the believer praising God in all situations of life and encouraging others when they are discouraged.

It is the very life of Christ in our lives, shown to Principalities and Powers that rule the people of this world system.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
