Should Christian woman cover there head while praying?

While I am in agreement with Mark on men's shortcomings, I met too many women who want to justify their own because of the men.

The scriptures condemn both.

1Pe 2:18 Servants, be subject to your masters with all fear;

not only to the good and gentle

That's odd. Paul said that a womans hair is given to her for a covering.

True. A women's long hair is her "glory."

Yes, it does. It also deals with what entered his heart and why he chose to rebel against his authority.

First we can see that God gave to the anointed cherub a glorious apparel to complement the position he held in God

In my church {Baptist}, there are a couple of women that wear hats every week, but most do not. I think folks are correct in saying the hair is the covering. Tho' I must admit I like the hats, except when one of them sits in front of me

So my personal answer to that is, I want to cover my head when i talk to God.

I cant beleive I have read through this whole thread and non of you have the same meaning from the text as I have.

In 1 Cor chapter 11 it says about propriety in worship. You have read the first bit about the veils and coverings but not why!!

vs 10 (NIV)

"For this reason, and because of the angels, the woman ought to have a sign of authority on her head."

Have you guys forgotton genesis 6 vs 1-4?

The angels need to know which people are men and which ones are women to help them out- it is not only about the cultural things of the day and lairy women disrupting the services in corinth.
