Christ means annoited one so when someone claims to be anointed, they are claiming to be in Christ.

No, the verse does not mean "I am anointed".     The ones in the verse are claiming to be Jesus Himself.

In Israel's history both the priests and kings were considered anointed's.   "the" messiah is one special anointed by God to be the King of Israel, to lead Israel and the world into the messianic age.

Coming In Jesus name are those who claim to be Christian and preach Jesus.

Like these.

Mathew 7:22-23

Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

They are not saying "I am Christ" in those verses.

How many times do you need to look at something before you can see what is actually written?

Luke 21:8

And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them.

It does not say I am Jesus.

It's time for you to be ignored.

Luke 21:8

And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them.

mathew 24

And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

mark 13

And Jesus answering them began to say, Take heed lest any man deceive you:

For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

It does not say I am Jesus.

The text does not say "I am anointed".    They are identifying themselves as being Jesus.

"I am Christ" is a statement about being the person of Jesus - not about a condition (i.e being anointed).

It would seem, it does say,

1 John 2:22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus IS the Christ?

Yeshua is his name

In English,he is called Jesus.

Mathew 1:21

And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

Christ is not a name.It is a title which means anointed one.People who have received the holy spirit are annoited. They are in Christ.

Jesus IS the Christ I agree, Paul even says,

"And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity." 2 Ti 2:19

And Jesus did say there would be both false prophets and false Christs

His prophets are considered his anointed also

1 Ch 16:22 Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.

Seeing prophets and Kings were anointed, for example

1 Kings 19:16 And Jehu the son of Nimshi shalt thou anoint to be king over Israel
and Elisha the son of Shaphat of Abelmeholah shalt thou anoint to be prophet in thy room.

1 Sam 26:9 And David said to Abishai, Destroy him not: for who can stretch forth his hand against the LORD'S anointed, and be guiltless?

2 Sam 1:14 And David said unto him, How wast thou not afraid to stretch forth thine hand to destroy the LORD'S anointed?

As the apostles were anointed by God

2 Cr 1:21 Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God;

Aside from false prophets (who might claim to be anointed by God) there is said to be false Christs, and in the definition of false Christ it says,

The definition states

1. a false Christ (or Messiah)

2. one who falsely lays claim to the name and office of the Messiah

Which appears to those who to come in his name (Jesus) saying "I am Christ"

Mat 24:5 For many shall come "in my name", saying, "I am" Christ; and shall deceive many.

As Jesus points out

Mat 24:23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, "here is" Christ, "or there"; believe it not.

Then you have those who are shown naming "the name of" Christ doing wonderful works but who work iniquity in 2 Ti 2:19

And the first verse I mentioned

2 Ti 2 :19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

From which iniquity they are to depart and those who do not (and continue to work it are shown in the example below

Mat 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Shows how they are used in a few examples

So ,do you understand who comes in Jesus name?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
