Hello FreeGrace..no it’s not..i can only go by my becoming Born Again of the Spirit.

The only way I believe when one  is truly saved from eternal damnation, is when they have become Born Again of imperishable seed...nothing else makes sense to me.

im not saying you are wrong, I just don’t understand being saved that way.

Hi, I think maybe there is a problem about semantics here.

When we truly believe on Christ (come to faith in Him), we are then born again.   Yes, it's a mystery, it's like the wind...we don't understand that either.

The verses @FreeGrace mentioned only confirm what has happened to us as believers.   And those verses say that we have Eternal Security....we cannot lose our salvation.

It all fits together.... being born of the Spirit and what the Bible says.

Actually, not.  Jesus used the words as a verb.  iow, "to be born again".

I'll use that in a sentence.  In order to enter the kingdom, one must be born again.  So Jesus was telling Nic HOW to enter the kingdom.

As you know I was Born Again never reading a Bible..as the Holy Spirit was in dwelling me he testifies with our spirit that we are Gods children, ( he speaks to our spirit as in us ,me, I) I know you don’t believe that..that’s fine...after I became Born Again..I went straight out and bought a Bible, as I never knew how this process happened..God led me straight to the story that Jesus explains to Nicodemus...made 100% perfect sense to me, as Jesus was talking of spiritual matters, that Nicodemus couldn’t possibly understand, only those who have been Born of the Spirit could understand what Jesus was explaining to Nicodemus.

Becoming Born Again for me was a very long process, becoming Born of the Spirit/ Born Again happens very naturally I knew it was the Holy Spirit and wasn’t scared, I received the gift of Faith ,God given Faith the most precious gift one can have ,why,  because it was God’s Living seed that was planted into my heart, which, because it came from God, my faith has grown and flourishes..and continues to do so....that is my testimony and belief and can never be removed from my heart, because it came from Gods Living word, his seed.

The thing is though Debp, I wasn’t Born Again by reading God’s word and I can only go by Gods word that he speaks to my heart..my testimony is scriptural, yet, many disagree with my testimony, that’s fine..I can’t be told by others how to be Born Again...I know how I was Born Again of the Spirit and it can never be erased from my heart/ spirit..I hope you understand this @Debp....I had a mind blowing rebirth..that God revealed himself to me via his Spirit.he testified with my spirit that I was his child.that blew my mind.

We have eternal security once we have been Born Again of imperishable seed..that is my belief.

I will repeat;  the ONLY WAY to be born again is to put your full trust in the work of Jesus Christ on the cross for your sins.  Period.

That is made very clear in the account of Cornelius, from Acts 10 and 11.  Peter clearly equated receiving the Spriit (baptized) with believing the gospel.

I hope you'll read it.

Sorry, God told Nicodemus how we are Born Again , the Holy Spirit is like the wind , you can’t see him and you can’t see where he is going, therefore those who are Born of the Spirit, never know when he will baptise them in the Spirit..that’s exactly what that scripture is saying...I wouldn’t force you to read it...but, I can’t deny the word of God.

i also wouldn’t know how to put my trust in Jesus without God bringing me to believe in Jesus..God did all the initiating...God did it all ,all glory goes to,God,I was given the faith from God to know that he is a living Spirit, the gift of Faith ,the Holy Spirit is Gods witness...he is the one who testifies the truth and understanding of God’s word to our heart/spirit.

That is your opinion of what Jesus was saying to Nicodemus,I disagree with your opinion.

The Holy Spirit speaks to our heart/spirit, his word isn’t complicated and very easy to understand..but, not until the Holy Spirit brings Gods word to our understanding and truth...scripture is revealed to our heart and is revealed to our spirit all in God’s timing.we are led through the Bible by the Holy Spirit..

10 And he became very hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made ready, he fell into a trance,

There is nothing here that I understand how we are Born Again, imo...you may well believe that is how one become Born Again .

Im afraid I don’t,,,.The Holy Spirit is like the wind...

I have already explained how I was Born Again, maybe I need to leave , if you keep questioning me over how I was Born Again..as it doesn’t fit in with your description of how one is Born Again...was there something wrong with my other two replies?..that haven’t been approved?

Only believe in Jesus that God brought me to, and then if God decides to bring us to becoming Born Again ...as in, Spirit gives birth to spirit.

There is no rebirth without believing in Jesus, which I already explained God brought me to believe in Jesus.

No one can force me to believe what they believe it’s unfair and it’s bullying..you aren’t understanding my testimony, I don’t understand yours, but, I certainly don’t bully you over it.as seems to be happening to me on this thread.

im being forced to believe @Free grace...is forcing his belief onto me, that’s not of God...

Good morning,

The other posts are approved unless I missed something.

No bullying here from me 'Lisa'. You initiated a discussion about your salvation so I don't think it's unreasonable to get responses and questions on it, do you?

I'll admit my grasp of your testimony leaves me hanging. I can't help that.

I'm not saying you are unsaved, just that is isn't clear to me. So far we have some strong agreements. God certainly draws us with His Holy Spirit. He convicts us of sin which is part of the drawing. It isn't the experience that draws us in my opinion, it's the realization of our standing with God if we are unsaved and the realization that we are in a bad place without Jesus. The Holy Spirit will fill us at that point.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
