ou speak a lot about the imperishable seed- now if anyone is a KJV studier they will say" that's not what the Bible Says,it's incorruptible seed" and there behind a dispute over TAMAHTOE/TOMATOE- sounds so silly, doesnt it?

Yes, they are the same.,.i understand when you say some have a sound doctrine, my point is Kwik, anyone can have a sound doctrine as in quoting scripture word for word.

The thing is, we need to be Born Again of the Spirit...not intellectual knowledge, ....plus there is no directions on how we become Born Again....no one can read themselves into becoming Born Again of the Spirit......scriptural Knowledge is meaningless if we aren’t Born Again...Jesus explains this to Nicodemus...the Holy Spirit is like the wind, you never know when he will turn up and Baptise us in the Spirit ..my friend.

Admittedly, I've only skimmed these posts. I did note a negative reference to "beliefism" which appears to suggest belief in Jesus is not enough... that it is up to the Wind (Holy Spirit) to choose who is and isn't born again (saved).

This has a familiar ring to it, the Calvinist / Hyper-Calvinism arguments (where in the alleged pursuit of deeper knowledge into the mechanics of salvation one redefines the simple truth of Christ into a complicated morass of either works salvation of preferential status).

Works salvation is out (Ephesians 2:8-10).

Preferential status negates choice (either for the saved or the unsaved). The Bible is replete (in every translation) with calls to CHOOSE life, TURN from sin, REPENT from unbelief to belief.

There were times in the past that I also went down a similar path (though not Calvinism per se) to define "belief" as having a criteria more complicated than simply believing... but the Lord Jesus threw a monkey wrench into that way of thinking:

"Unless you come as little children, you cannot enter the Kingdom..." meaning either:

 1. Adults cannot be saved

2. Those who are saved have abandoned all forms of works salvation (religion) and trust God as a child trusts parents and God himself.

Of course adults can be saved. So he meant that we are to abandon the religious pursuit of self salvation (Galatians 3:24-25 indicates this is a major purpose for giving the Law of Moses). ← to wean us from this persistent chasing of our own tails.

Man by nature has a terrible time accepting Grace for all that it is. (a stumbling block to legalistic Jews and foolishness to paganistic Gentiles).

To aid us in the knowledge of the truth the Spirit of Truth (John 16:13) is to be the sole Interpreter of scripture:

2 Peter 1:20–21 (KJV)
20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

Thus eliminating human suppositions (which can drone on and on and on for years and years) ← case in point the Calvinism v Arminianism debates (which excludes any other options than those two, though there is at least one more option).

Ephesians 2:8–10 (KJV)
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

For by grace

are ye saved

through faith;

and that not of yourselves:

it is the gift of God:

Faith = belief and trust and even it is not of our ability to believe or trust but by God's mercy he gives us that faith belief trust hope.

And it is available to all who choose to believe (1 Timothy 4:10 / 1 John 2:2 / John 3:16-18).

John 6:29 / John 16:27 also supports this simple, clear cut definition of salvation.

The Holy Spirit baptizes us into Christ when we believe (Matthew 3:11) predicated on the sacrifice of Christ Jesus on the cross (which is the crux of human eternal destiny heaven or hell depending on whether or not we believe in Jesus).

The reason for the extra hoopla about this Holy Spirit baptism in Acts 2 was because of the transition of the New Covenant from the Old and the disciples who already believed under the Old now showed the signs of significance (tongues of fire etc) at the dawn of the Church age. Thank goodness folks didn't interpret that the tongues of fire are required / the sign of salvation for all.

2 Corinthians 11:3 (KJV)
3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

Needless to say, I abandoned my past efforts to complicate the Gospel (defining belief itself) to simply trust and believe God in Christ.

The only efforts worth making are to insure that we believe in the genuine Jesus Christ and not some counterfeit concocted by the devil and mankind.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
