A word picture in terms of patriotism and Christianity, may clear this up, maybe. A Christian family has children and raise them with Christian values. Those Children are not Christian’s because mom and dad are Christian they will have to make a choice one day for themselves.  However the culture in which those children were raised in has given them a foundation by which they might lean more towards Christ or not either way they have a choice. The same can be said about us Americans born here. If are born here we are American and with that we can chose to believe in anything we chose since that is the freedom given to us as Americans. Where did the bases of our constitution come from? Bible. This nation was birthed out of the need to be free and free to believe what we want therefore I say if we are proud to be an American patriot because of our constitutional freedom we have to thank God and the Cross of Christ for that freedom and this country. This is country was founded as a Christian nation.

But why is there not a conservative candidate that I can respect, be proud of, and support?  For three consecutive election cycles, the only reason I am voting for him is to keep someone else from going in.

To me, as someone who loves this country, that is not the reason to vote for someone.  It just makes me bone-weary.

Trump may be a patriot, but he does NOT represent Christianity.  He is on my prayer list FOR salvation and protection.

I don't say that because of his public and great sins, but because he has no clue what it means to BE saved.  He told Laura Ingrahm a few weeks ago that he was going to heaven because he was good.  But if he was bad that he would go to "the other place".

Does that sound like someone who understands salvation?  If he is not saved - how can he represent Christianity?

I have people on my Facebook page - a lot - who claim that because Trump was shot in the right ear and Aaron, the priest in the Bible, was anointed with blood of an animal on his right ear, right thumb, and right big toe, that Trump is anointed by God to lead us all.

It's mind-boggling to me how people associate Trump with the Christian faith of the Bible.  It hurts my brain every time I hear it.

He'll get my vote because America does not need Harris/Walz and he has my sincere prayers for protection and salvation.

But that's all he is getting from me.  I cannot garner respect for him at all.

Last night I caught the last 45 minutes a two hour Frontline show on PBS regarding Harris & Trump.  I'm aware PBS now has left-leanings, so I normally have my antenna up for that.  Nonetheless, I usually find Frontline reporting pretty fair and in-depth, and they definitely showed some good, bad & ugly of both candidates.

I won't get into the particulars, but I did find it a pretty fascinating portrayal of both candidates.  My bottom-line takeaway was that I see both as dangerous.  I think Harris is dangerous mainly because of her extreme left wing ideas, and she may be the right person to really fire-up the progressive base to come out in force.

According to the Frontline portrayal, Trump is all about being seen as a winner no matter what.  His MO is to portray himself as a winner, even if he looses, and he's always done that in the arenas he's operated in.  I almost feel like he's trying to do Jedi mind control by his words.  By intently repeating the narrative no matter what, he hopes to convince people according to how he wants them to see things.  It works on a lot of people.

Many people wanted to label Harris as something of a dummy/neophyte who couldn't communicate well.  But one doesn't get to the prosecutorial and CA attorney general positions by being stupid. She may have been a fish out of water four years ago, and said and did some pretty dumb things as VP, but I think she's learned.  That, coupled with intrenched socialist thinking, and being a younger female/minority candidate, makes her all the more dangerous now.  I don't think Trump can best her.

I’ve seen trump over the years and he used to be a big Clinton donor which made me laugh out loud when he first ran, I thought I would rather vote for goofy than him. He is a womanizer and maybe a racist however his police’s and leadership as president have been pertty good. We as Christian’s have to know how to separate ones personal past life from their ability to lead a nation. Unsaved people can be used by God to achieve Gods will. I'm voting for Trump, of course.

I think that Trump has grown spiritually after the first assassination attempt.    He seems more humble, more gentle in tone.   And he does always acknowledge God in sparing his life.   I've seen more than a few interviews where he tells the reporter that.

If God has begun a work in Trump's heart, how can any Christian condemn him?

Kamala Harris didn't go to a top law school.   She failed the bar exam on her first try.   Her more recent "word salads" confirm she doesn't communicate well.

Kamala got her start in politics by having an affair with a married man, politician Willie Brown.    He was 60 years old....she was 29 years old.   He got her appointed to two highly paid political jobs and also helped her become DA of San Francisco.

Besides getting Kamala the high paying jobs, Willie Brown bought Kamala a BMW and they went to Paris together.

None of that actually makes her vapid/stupid . . . I seem to remember similar kind kinds of things being said about "W."  And there are various kinds of intelligence.

So here we are - two "wonderfully qualified" candidates for the top office on the planet!

Bottom-line takeaway for me from that video: With Trump you know what you're getting (good/bad/ugly); With Harris it's sort of a big guess, because she's so very vague (although we know how extremely liberal she was in congress).

Few of us go to so called top schools . And a few that do aren't necessarily all that accomplished in what they do in life. Some of us don't even go to college at all!

Trump touts his finance school history, yet went to Fordham  for two years, transferred and "evidently" did an average or unremarkable job  as a student at Penn State Wharton Finance  school division.

 One of the USA's presidents at a time of great crisis' never graduated from  any college. Yet he established NATO and oversaw the Marshal plan, made the decision that brought WWII to a rapid end as well. President Harry S. Truman.

If we are to rate Presidents qualifications based upon their education I suppose we should repeal the two term limit and re-elect Willam Clinton.

p.s. Ronald Reagan went to little private Eureka College at Illinois. Might look that one up.

P.P.S. Only 44% passed the California general bar exam on the first try in Feb. 2024. What do you suppose the odds are on any of them ever becoming a US Senator or  a State Attorney General or a Vice President of the USA , and nominee of their party for US president?
