What you were contemplating to do has been very sad for many of us to read. Because for many of us who have experienced already great suffering and pain and the consequences of sin, can see a life that could be so potentially useful and good  be led down a path so sad and destructive and very sad.

With Gods Word through reading and seeking Gods advice through the bible, you can STOP these self destructive attacks on your life.

Yes I would also suggest finding a good bible based church to follow so you can get involved with other believers who have a true love for Christ Jesus, who can lead by good example a life well lived in and through God and His Word.Seek well seasoned believers when you go to a church, so you don't get discouraged by bad example but get lifted up by seeing and experiencing good and Godly example in others.

The sad reality of it is, perhaps there are no spirit filled bible believing church near by you that are filled truly with Gods Word to help, teach and guide you by being in the presence of other true believers, Sadly to say there are now a lot of diluted  churches that present themselves as Christian when they are not truly Christian .

Some Christian advice was given to me many years ago(over 23 years ago) when I began to notice that not all christian churches are true to Gods Word.

The ADVICE WAS TO READ YOURSELF THE BIBLE, PRAY TO GOD BEFORE YOU READ HIS WORD ASK GOD TO SHOW YOU WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW SO TO UNDERSTAND HIM BETTER.

When you know Gods Word for yourself, you can better detect false teachings coming from either or both a person  or a church to make the decision to get out of a false church and continue on your own until you do find a bible believing church that can encourage you through a body of true believers and sound bible teaching.

We do have internet today, so that even if you are in a remote area with no bible believing church around,  you can find many good bible believing christian ministries that offer sound preaching of God Word to help encourage you to keep perusing a better way, a better life for yourself and your children.

There is also Christian radio to listen to like WCHP who offer sermons from the likes of Charles Frazier Stanley Jr or.,John F. MacArthur

 

 

Most importantly, Being a Christian is about having a daily relationship with God through His Word on a daily basis.

Only God can help protect you, guide in restoring, building and continuing a life more spirit filled in Him and less and less a flesh filled life influenced by all the traps of this world that seek to steal-kill-destroy all the good God has waiting for your life.

 

The spiritual battle is real, we have to place our armour of God on every day and use His Word everyday -sword of the spirit-to fight against the armies of wideness.

Mark Ch4 : 24-28

And He said to them, Be careful what you are hearing. The measure [of thought and study] you give [to the truth you hear] will be the measure [of virtue and knowledge] that comes back to you–and more [besides] will be given to you who hear.

 

Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths.” Allowing God to be your guide begins with a commitment to trust. God cannot lead you where you will not follow

I wasnt going to do what I thought. I'm just frustrated is all. I feel stuff working against me. It's hard for me to trust God. Idk how to make myself do that.

I think mostly everyone can remember surrendering to the Lord and something definitely changed,I can't imagine going about life as if nothing happened unless nothing happened (kwim?)

If you truly want change and you think you are Saved  then you must Renew your mind,you've got to feed your spirit that you Receive Understanding,Knowledge,Wisdom by the Power of Holy Spirit.... if there is not a hungry thirst for the Living Waters then something is wrong- I know you agree,you've said so

I Encourage you once again to get on your knees,seek Him with all of your heart,mind and soul .... do you want Forgiveness? Like Jesus asked the man crippled  38 yrs    " Do you want to be Healed?" He layed there beside the pool at Bethesda waiting for someone to help him get in the water!!!

For 38 years?!!!I find that astonishing- I do think a paralyzed man could have inched his way in by his tongue in 38 YEARS!!Right?

Perhaps his comfort zone was in accepting being a cripple,being a poor me and waiting for someone to help - I don't know but that story always I leaves me thinking because he didn't even know WHO Jesus was!!!! And Jesus Told him- " PICK UP YOUR MAT"

He must've had a filthy mess from lying there 38yrs- Jesus Told him to clean his mess up.... maybe Jesus is Telling you to clean up your mess,to help yourself because He Sees you,He Will Help but you need to make a move.....

As you can see by the responses written to you, many are saddened by what you were proposing to do as a solution to your problems.

Many with a fraternal, parental concern as if you were a child of their own feel so sad to the self destructive option that you are considering . Who that truly loves their child, would want to see their child go down the path you are suggesting. I am sure not even you would want that path to be crossed by any of your own children. You their mother is their hope to see good examples come out of you to help them also to seek those same ideals and way of life

Sexual immoral lust is one of the most destructive evil spirits that can take hold of in a person. It goes strait to attack the very core soul of a person.

Praise God Christ Jesus came to free us from ALL bondage's of sin

Someone in this thread mentioned that involving yourself in such poor choice behaviour will leave you ( if you survive) with memories you wish you never had to experience.

 The spirit of lust is very harmful and deadly. Sexual abuse on all levels  damages so deeply.

I remember seeing a movie on tv many years ago (that was made in the seventies) It was the story of a young girl living in a quiet town with her brother and parents in a simple but clean house with a sweet little family dog. The girl a young teenager, decided she wanted to see if she could make it -big- on her own as an actress or model in Hollywood.

she wrote a goodbye letter to her parents, packed a suitcase and took a bus that led her to Hollywood.

Getting off the bus stopped at a small diner to get something to eat, there she met a young man that offered to be her friend and help her. She ended up, going home to his place, loosing her virginity to that guy.Not knowing any better, and being in a new and strange city, she followed that guy around and he introduced her to someone who could get her a job as a "hostess" in a high end night club.  In reality he was a pimp and the girls introduced  to her as other hostesses making a great living befriended her to lure her into thinking she to could make a great living and have a wonderful life filled with money and nice clothe.

Long story , short..

She ended up working as a hostess" call girl "for rich business men.She was introduced by the other call girls and pimp, to taking drugs to numb herself enough to do whatever the paying customer wanted her to do.

On one such hostessing job, she found herself in a hotel room with a paying customer who paid the pimp enough money to do what ever he wanted to do.  This paying customer paid the pimp enough money to beat the girl to death and that is what happened.

Just another story of a girl with so much potential taking the wrong turn and ending up dead.

Sexual abuse, child trafficking, prostitution is so rampant and deadly and a very big world wide problem.

This world is so full of wickedness. Its everywhere, in every city, and you have to be careful also what neighbourhoods you choose to live in. Try always to look for safer neighbourhoods if you can, and even so, there are always wolves  lurking around and looking for prey.

Look for Christian people who not only talk a good talk but who also walk the walk.

Do they preach Christ one minute and out of the same mouth comes out cussing?living in worldly ways? and phil0sophies ? and spilling malicious gossip of others? Do not follow such as they will drag you down.

Follow rather, the teachings and good examples from a Christian church, preacher, members who shows the joy of the Lord by their words, their deed,  their actions, what comes out of their mouth, how they conduct and manage their lives, who seek God daily in how they live.  Tho9se who are the peacemakers. They are the true shinning lights to seek to be around and follow by their good example. And if you can't find any such christian, around where you are, you can still become one yourself -a shinning light- filled with Gods light in you.  right now by just coming to God with your concerns and asking Him back into your life to show you the way to a better, more peaceful and content life.

Life is not easy in this world, it will always have its challenges until we are called back home to Him. His Word promises us That He will help us through.

Focus on the good godly intentions you have,  and ask God to help you, walk the walk with Him as your guide and ultimate shinning light to the path of righteousness.

Philippians 4:6-7
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

 

Philippians 4:8 ) Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things

Like I said I wasn't going to do any of that was just venting a frustration. Idk I feel maybe I've been deluding myself as a Christian. I really feel im not one at all. I don't pray or read. I have no desire for God or loving feelings toward him I often wonder how people love him bc I have animosity twds him. I don't know how people trust him either when stuff happens back to back I'm just starting to not care either. I'm just going to continue to do what I can to get out of my own situation.

Hi @kwikphilly What I would say also, is: if profession of faith is made, then let's see prayer and the Scriptures pursued earnestly and permanently, in a walk before the Lord in reliance upon His Person and work.

Such saturation has been achieved in some countries of the business and materialist mindset that a supposedly efficient quick-fix is sometimes sought.

Your years with the NYPD I guess showed that just by saying a few words ppl's behavior wouldn't likely change.

You are right I am in the same place I was when I got here. I see no spiritual growth for myself. I want to give up with this Christian bs. I think once I'm on the otherside done with nursing and my life calms down maybe I'll try again with God.

No one can give you a desire that God has not called you to.

All around where I live are mostly non Christians, they live by world standards. Some do have a semblance of good but deny its Source.

Many times living in this world ,  a bible believing Christians is left to be the odd man out in choosing to not participate in worldly activity that leads away from Gods Word and plan for our lives . But somehow, God still finds a way to fill the believer living in a broken world with Godly faith , Godly hope and keeps giving a FREE FLOW of living waters from its never dying source.

As a bible believing Christian who heard Christ Jesus call me back to Him John ch10:10, there is no other way, so I cannot be of help other than mention how Christ Jesus saved my own life and try and guide you towards Him through His Word.  all I can say more is that I pray God lead you to His plan of Mercy and Grace through His only begotten Son Christ Jesus. Amen! Amen! Amen!

A long long time ago I think I sounded like you- God Was Drawing me unto Himself yet I was just doing my own thing,zig zagging along in my own sweet time

On 3 separate occasions,3 different strangers stopped me in my tracks to say" Run to Lord,don't walk- RUN,while He May Still Be Found"

The first and 2nd time seemed odd but the 3rd was just outrageous- still,though I thought about it often I did my own thing- I probably could have been spared some of the hardships I was to face ,not wanting to surrender and fall to my knees so I was brought to my knees eventually ,in a very terrifying way ..... boy I'm glad,so glad,death was chasing me and I didn't even know until thst terrifying day that turned into a the best day of my LIFE

So now twice I said to you---' Run,run to the Lord while He may be Found.....I do Hope you have a 3rd call and get there in time❤️
