Hi all, Perhaps it is good that many are out of their "comfort zone" so to speak. For tribulation and trials seem to often be the works of God that, like hammering on  metal  does, strengthens each  of us.

Hammering out the word of God again and again by reading praying and thinking upon the word of God then counting it all for joy is real exercise. One that builds up the heart mind and soul. I do have confidence that like our Lord and like Paul did as example to  all that will read, and hear, there is no reason to not sleep like a baby even as the seas roil about the ship of life here on planet earth:

[Jesus’ Followers See His Power]

That day, at evening, Jesus said to his followers, “Come with me across the lake.”  So they left the crowd behind and went with Jesus in the boat he was already in. There were also other boats that went with them.  A very bad wind came up on the lake. The waves were coming over the sides and into the boat, and it was almost full of water. Jesus was inside the boat, sleeping with his head on a pillow. The followers went and woke him. They said, “Teacher, don’t you care about us? We are going to drown!”

Jesus stood up and gave a command to the wind and the water. He said, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind stopped, and the lake became calm.

He said to his followers, “Why are you afraid? Do you still have no faith?”

They were very afraid and asked each other, “What kind of man is this? Even the wind and the water obey him!”

Be at peace in Jesus, he is the hope certain.

Further;  even if the ship is broken up upon the rocks is that not  known to God before hand, and does He not provide eternal security for his own?

In the meantime, if  his own are to ride a ship  He has destined to crash upon the rocks,  shall  it not be known to us it is all a small portion of His plan for each of us, that we may be used to glorify Him?

"[The Storm at Sea]

Now when the south wind blew gently, supposing that they had obtained their purpose, they weighed anchor and sailed along Crete, close to the shore.  But soon a tempestuous wind, called the northeaster, struck down from the land.  And when the ship was caught and could not face the wind, we gave way to it and were driven along.16 Running under the lee of a small island called Cauda, we managed with difficulty to secure the ship's boat. After hoisting it up, they used supports to undergird the ship. Then, fearing that they would run aground on the Syrtis, they lowered the gear,[c] and thus they were driven along. 18 Since we were violently storm-tossed, they began the next day to jettison the cargo.  And on the third day they threw the ship's tackle overboard with their own hands. When neither sun nor stars appeared for many days, and no small tempest lay on us, all hope of our being saved was at last abandoned.

Since they had been without food for a long time, Paul stood up among them and said, “Men, you should have listened to me and not have set sail from Crete and incurred this injury and loss.  Yet now I urge you to take heart, for there will be no loss of life among you, but only of the ship. For this very night there stood before me an angel of the God to whom I belong and whom I worship,  and he said, ‘Do not be afraid, Paul; you must stand before Caesar. And behold, God has granted you all those who sail with you.’ So take heart, men, for I have faith in God that it will be exactly as I have been told.  But we must run aground on some island.”

When the fourteenth night had come, as we were being driven across the Adriatic Sea, about midnight the sailors suspected that they were nearing land.  So they took a sounding and found twenty fathoms. A little farther on they took a sounding again and found fifteen fathoms. And fearing that we might run on the rocks, they let down four anchors from the stern and prayed for day to come. And as the sailors were seeking to escape from the ship, and had lowered the ship's boat into the sea under pretense of laying out anchors from the bow,  Paul said to the centurion and the soldiers, “Unless these men stay in the ship, you cannot be saved.”  Then the soldiers cut away the ropes of the ship's boat and let it go.

As day was about to dawn, Paul urged them all to take some food, saying, “Today is the fourteenth day that you have continued in suspense and without food, having taken nothing.  Therefore I urge you to take some food. For it will give you strength, for not a hair is to perish from the head of any of you.”  And when he had said these things, he took bread, and giving thanks to God in the presence of all he broke it and began to eat.  Then they all were encouraged and ate some food themselves.  (We were in all 276 persons in the ship.)  And when they had eaten enough, they lightened the ship, throwing out the wheat into the sea.

[The Shipwreck]

Now when it was day, they did not recognize the land, but they noticed a bay with a beach, on which they planned if possible to run the ship ashore.  So they cast off the anchors and left them in the sea, at the same time loosening the ropes that tied the rudders. Then hoisting the foresail to the wind they made for the beach.  But striking a reef,[h]they ran the vessel aground. The bow stuck and remained immovable, and the stern was being broken up by the surf. The soldiers' plan was to kill the prisoners, lest any should swim away and escape.  But the centurion, wishing to save Paul, kept them from carrying out their plan. He ordered those who could swim to jump overboard first and make for the land,  and the rest on planks or on pieces of the ship. And so it was that all were brought safely to land."

Can't sleep?

Sleep the sleep of of a child:

Now I lay me down to sleep,
I pray the Lord my Soul to keep;
If I should die before I 'wake,
I pray the Lord my Soul to take.

Sleep the sleep of a warrior:

"The Lord Is My Shepherd a  Psalm of David.

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters.
    He restores my soul.
He leads me in paths of righteousness
    for his name's sake.

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
    your rod and your staff,
    they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me
    in the presence of my enemies;
you anoint my head with oil;
    my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life,
and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord
    forever.

Biden/Harris and men like Walz do not go where the wind takes them.  They go where the progressive machine takes them.

When reading your posting, I thought about this verse as it applies to ALL politicians and earthly political movements (part b of the verse):  "But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind (James 1:6).  The world's governments bounce from one position/policy/program, etc. to another to another to another and the common man is the one who suffers.

Sad state of affairs.... Can Trump undo the mess we are in? God's Word is showing me it's gonna get alot worse,I think we are well past any temporary fixes.... Wouldn't you agree?

I wholeheartedly agree.  My only peace about the whole thing is knowing that Christ is coming back.  I have no idea, but it could be soon.

Y:es and No.

Yes I agree with your assessment of our current state of affairs as a nation.

No, I disagree with you about us being past the point of help. IF we believe that God answers prayer, and that this mess we are in is due to the Church taking an passive 'K sora sora, whatever will be will be' attitude taken from the pastors of our land who are wimpy and refuse to tell their members that we are responsible for impacting the government that God has given us.

I am not ready to wave the white flag of defeat and hide in a hole somewhere. I will vote my Christian values as best I can and make my voice heard. And even if my vote is stolen, I can appear before the Bema seat with one less thing on my account for failing to do. Faithfulness is key regarding impacting the world we live in, and even if I may lose, I will go down 'swinging' voting for the best options I am given.

Ray . . .

Well good for you if that what you believe- you should always stand on your Convictions

I don't Believe my vote counts or yours so that is my Conviction... that doesn't mean I'm hiding in a hole anywhere or am complacent about anything that's truly important, like my Father's Business.... the cares of this world simply are not mine

You might see America somewhere in the Book of Revelation- I do not but it doesn't concern me either,I Know where I'll be and gonna do my best to preach the Gospel to whoever will hear❤️

Life is but all vapors right, so why not? "Biden the laser light show" at Mt Rushmore!

No need to spend decades carving away rock these days.  The the USA and the world could all be dazzled  with the addition of Biden The Laser Light Image, as the supreme feature of The Evening Lighting Ceremony at Mount Rushmore National Memorial which is held beginning the Friday before Memorial Day to September 30 each year.

Might be this is a big deal, a really big deal.

(Humor button is on)

Or maybe a laser "Tar Baby", nah go with Uncle Joe.

Humor button is now off.

Praise God that "it don't matter"!

We are all burnt out by poor leadership and that is because we look to men who do not know and obey the Lord.  Are we guilty of not doing all that we can to serve the King of Kings and Lord of Lords?  Maybe too many have been too complacent for too long.  Now what are you going to do about it?  It starts from within.

Now what are you going to do about it?

I'm going to continue to cherish the love of the Christ, Jesus, as was revealed to me personally through the specific call to me by the Holy Spirit. As an old cyber friend used to type so often, "No one is going to steal my joy away."

I am going to try to not punch the tar babies. My hope is placed upon the faith of Jesus.

..." beloved, we are confident of better things concerning you, yes, things that accompany salvation, though we speak in this manner.  For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister.  And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope until the end,  that you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

[God’s Infallible Purpose in Christ]

For when God made a promise to Abraham, because He could swear by no one greater, He swore by Himself,  saying, “Surely blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you.”  And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.  For men indeed swear by the greater, and an oath for confirmation is for them an end of all dispute.  Thus God, determining to show more abundantly to the heirs of promise the immutability of His counsel, confirmed it by an oath,  that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us.

This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil,  where the forerunner has entered for us, even Jesus, having become High Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek."

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
