Ummm....that's kind of easy to answer.

[1]  American birth rate per year =  about 3,700,000 per year

American abortion rate per year = it varies, but about 800,000 per year

 

[2] Countless women who have had abortions either go on to have other children or have previously had other children.

 

[3] Belief in abortion isn't inherited.

That was for local State primary which just occurred this Tuesday.

As to policies versus personalities.  I tend to think I am not going to be living with  a salesman  or saleswoman, nor politician, therefore it is the product, the service, and the policies, that count.

I'm seeing Christian influence wanning in these days as the enemy moves into everything more and more. "But be of good cheer - I have overcome the world!" Greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world! When we are weak then He is strong. Our job is to continue to testify of His love and grace to a corrupt and dying world.

When people storm the US capital trying to stop the formality of  peaceful transfer of executive branch power and do so by force hurting police and seeking out the vice president to do harm to him , yes I call that insurrection. It was hyped up by Trump for days and even as the mob was crashing the capital he would not call off his dogs, not even as his own family  begged of him to do.

He has stated his being in office is more important than the US constitution, Yep insurrection! is what I would call it.

But it will play out over the next 75 days or so, and then  may it be  that many might get  back to discussing the hope certain we all have in Jesus! Much as Paul did while under the extremes of government/ruler crazies of his time.

My hope is in Jesus  it is hope that is certain regardless of whether God has turned this land the USA (and it's many peoples) over to it's own strong delusions or not.

Oh, I take them seriously. It's actually one of the reasons I moved from Seattle to rural Kentucky back in 2011. And I bought the property two weeks before the 2008 election. It wasn't Obama I had a problem with. It was both parties, and the voters. It was always fun to ask people, "Assume Obama is lily white. What qualifications does he bring to the table?" Boy oh boy, that ticked a lot of people off. Partly because they had no idea. 

But yeah. I bought my 12 acres and then the 20 acres next door in 2013. And the property taxes on both is the price of a loaded large pizza every month. BTW, we've added a 30x60 garage/mancave. That is what's reflected in the property taxes.

One thing that I've argued is a total lie (since the 80's) is that you should not talk religion or politics. Fact is, those are the only two things that are important enough to talk about. And people voluntarily silence themselves.

 

It's important. You can talk about those things and still be polite. And especially regarding Christianity, you don't need to be aggressive, but like Jesus and the apostles, you should be assertive. Don't be a coward. Don't be afraid. Don't shirk your responsibility that Jesus himself gave you. Wear the armor and go forth! BTW, this is not specifically to you. It's to all Christians.

All is my opinion, of course.

You do realize that is not what happenned, right?

I don't have TV, but I DO have YouTube and Rumble. I saw LOTS of videos after the fact. Frankly, I think one reason Tucker Carlson was fired was because he was exposing information about government agents in the crowd. I'm not going to get into the specifics and argue this particular issue, but I plead with you to educate yourself about the whole event, what trump actually said before the event, why the national guard was not called, what trump said afterward, etc. 

It's not at all how the MSM portrayed it. And the information is out there for everyone to see. You no longer need to depend on their partisan filter.

One comical bias exposed: Trump wants to stop taxes on tips. The MSM said it would cost the government billions. Shortly afterward, Harris says SHE wants to stop the tax on tips. MSM praises her for helping workers. Dead serious. I can't post videos in this thread so you'll just have to look for yourself. But it is a textbook case. 

BTW, she was the deciding vote that sicked the IRS on tip income.
