Hi,

Ha, I just started a thread  showing the prices of the 1950's.  I personally remember going to the corner store and getting bread for  a dime and really good bread for 15 cents. I also remember how har dit was to come up with a dime, never mind 15 cents!

By the measure Ronnie Reagan suggested using of "are you better off today than you  were four years ago? ", I do have to acknowledge, yes I sure am! But does that mean  the Biden administration  was good? No! Was the  revolving door  Trump administration good? No!! Time to break the duopoly, but it will have to wait it seems. -If there is time left. Maranatha!

Our only hope certain is our Lord and savior Jesus.

Thanks for sharing! It actually hits right on my own conclusion of the moment;- that of what  do I have to do with belial? Trump has stated more than once he hates losers. He called  John McCain a loser for having been a prisoner of war.

I too see no difference in him today than he exhibited in 2016  nor 2020. There is no remorse, no turning about, it is the same o, same o, well except he now has Franklin Graham as a bit of a lap dog ( But that is another  matter). Even a few hours ago I had concluded I had to make a choice between evils. But no, no I don't!

I may have to live under one evil or another, but I need not be complicit in  choosing  one over the other. For the first time in my life I might reject the whole concept of voting as a "duty". Why do I have duty to pick  a preferred evil?

Dear brother, you have just stated why I don't stain myself with political concerns. It is most assuredly not a "duty" to do so. We are burdened with the duty to abide by the laws of the worldly nation we reside in to avoid the appearance of evil, and nothing more.

To our dear sister @Jayne, I understand precisely where you're coming from. It's horrendous.

I found gas for (only) 3.00/gallon in my area a Costco earlier this week and it reminded me of my dad. Back in east Texas in the early '70s he would snarl and cuss when he couldn't find gas for less than $.30/gallon. Thirty cents a gallon. Think about that for a moment. $3.00/gallon is the lowest I've seen it in my area for some time, so I guess you could call it an "improvement" at 10 times that old price back when I was kid. I also remember $2.25/gallon gas before the Biden folks started their war on the petroleum industry . . . there were some more sensible policies back then (and more than a few "mean tweets").

If someone told me that 20-30 years in the future we'd be looking at a sorry state of political affairs like this current dumpster fire of an election I'd have though they were crazy, on drugs, or both.

Don't know what your angst is, but you are way off base. If RFK jrs. name written in would be counted in  our home State I would write it in today in a heart beat. The goal being to still get five percent of the total popular vote  across the country. For if that happens then the party becomes recognized in all fifty States plus Washington dc for the next elections 2026 and 2028 without us having to spend money and gather signatures on petitions. That would give hope for busting California in 2026 and giving rise to a nation wide third party  for 2028.

The many many e-mails from RFKJr. to us all pretty much said the danger he was facing was costing so much, millions, and that the total lack of secret service protection was making it so risky his wife was distraught. He prayed over the situation daily and came to the hard conclusion that he would try the tactic he is  part of right now  even though he acknowledged he didn't fully trust that Trump would honor his commitments. saying  trump didn't before when he RFK jr. was used by Trump in the COVID research.

Trump was snake, he is a snake, he will always be a snake.  So yes it is extremely hard to see the benefit of picking  a snake over  what the other party, the evil party, is putting forth. It is a duopoly of evilness. That hasn't changed; part of the end times signs I guess.

RFK Jr. Has chanced being part of it in order to try to bring health  to America's children again MAHA. That is about the only reason I will bring my already filled out ballot to the local registrar. I sure won't trust mailing it this time. Not after finding my completed  ballot for  the primary didn't ever get delivered

ok I now see.You were not really for RFK it was getting a third party in the mix that was driving you to him.

Yup. Though Nixon-Kennedy 1960 was a real doozy too.

Never would have thought freedom  of speech  on  an internet  would be part of my life's issues either. And it is, at the moment the turning point that has both spouse and myself headed out with our filled in ballots. Mine a straight party line vote, like that is a sane thing to be doing.

Ha "it's my duopoly and I will choose a side if I want tooI 'll choose a side if I want to".... Strange paraphrasing of an old pop rock song. Oh well, brain is having it's fun crossing wires LOL.

Just think, only a very few more weeks and we can begin the recounts, and arguments over how the election was  unfair, no matter who wins perhaps we ll lose.

BTW I went with  the stupid party, go figure. Now if I can actually make it to the registrar's office I can move on to more fun stuff. Well not quite there is this mess all along the East of the USA and the absolute disaster that is North Carolina right now.

Kind of like ten plagues, of a sort, coming at us -

Actually I feel like I have learned quite a bit that I was  really unaware of through him and about him.

Having spent some seven years of my own youth on the Charles river I am so impressed and grateful for his  near 40 years of work  getting waterways cleaned up. He is quite the brilliant litigator, and a person with a cause. Not all that many  of us have a cause and work it with such determination.

But yes the need to break up the duopoly or even the party system is certainly key to my own interest. And I ***n sure will not get yet another big pharma promoted vaccine for COVID.  Been quite the six years we all have been through!

At the end of it all  though- our hope is certain, when it is placed in the faith of Jesus.

May I suggest doing something else right before you vote (you could still go shopping first)?  Call on the name of the Lord Jesus loudly, then sing some good Jesus songs with all your heart, then pray for His guidance, and then call on His name loudly again.  In other words, get good and nourished in spirit . . . then vote.

@Jayne @Neighbor @Vine Abider Please be willing to watch the entire interview with Trump and Dave Ramsey.   Even Trump supporters should watch this video.

Video already approved in the video forum.

@Neighbor Did you bother to watch the recent video?    You always disrespectfully call the former President a snake.    Why don't you watch recent videos and see the change in him?

Or do some people have too much pride to watch and admit Trump has changed since the assassination attempts so they still have TDS.

Hi, I do get a kick out of Dave Ramsey!

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
