ISAIAH 2:22  cease you from man whose breath is in his nostrils for wherein is he to be accounted of 

 

JOHN 12:49  for I have not spoken of myself but  THE  FATHER  which sent  ME  HE  gave  ME  a commandment what I should say and what I should speak 

 

JAMES 1:17  every good gift and every perfect gift is from above and cometh down from  THE  FATHER  of lights with whom there is no variableness neither shadow of turning 

 

JOHN 12:50  and I know that  HIS  commandment is life everlasting whatsoever I speak therefore even as  THE  FATHER  said unto  ME  so I speak 

2 TIMOTHY 2:13  if we believe not yet  HE  abideth faithful  HE  cannot deny himself

All of the passages are from Paul's letters and I am sure that they other disciples preached the same message but in a different way as they spoke about the Holy Spirit working within them according the will of God which is to quide us by the Holy Spirit who takes from Jesus Christ and bring to towards us.

We are instructed that when the Holy Spirit is working in us to think that it is as if Jesus was working in us. 

Because the Holy Spirit will do nothing of it's own and that's what Jesus said "it will take from me and bring it to you".

It is a proven fact that this statement from Paul is recorded in Colossians 1:27, but the argument it's not whether or not Paul has made this argument but what he intends to comunicate. 

What is the point of this statement, a statement made to Gentile believers. And by extension it applies to the Jews so every one in the same receives of the Spirit of Jesus Christ in the same way by believing that God sent his only Son to die on the Cross for the forgiveness of the sins of the whole world to include in the invitation to believe every one in the whole world.

Upon believing, and that it includes that everyone is invited to believe as they are in the moment they hear the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. 

Paul is making something very simple for anyone to understand 

The poor in Spirit are blessed in this matter and they accept this with a humble heart. They do not argue about that because Paul said that this is possible and it happened that way through the death of Jesus Christ on the Cross. 

Paul called this a mystery and he explained the mystery for the Gentiles to know that they are in Christ because they have partake of the Spirit of Jesus Christ who Jesus himself was a partaker of the Spirit of God, born that way. 

To have the knowledge that when they are in Jesus Christ they also are in the Heavenly Father because of Jesus Christ. 

Paul said that also for the  believing Jews to know that they have Jesus Christ Spirit In their hearts and are sealed by it and the Heavenly host knows that and of course Jesus Christ does and the Heavenly Father does. 

Paul is telling them that you are in Jesus Christ for only one reason because you have obeyed God and believed in Jesus Christ because the Holy Spirit was working in you whether you were conscious about it or not to reveal the will of God in you to believe in Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. 

This is what Paul was emphasize to the Gentile believers that the Spirit of Jesus Christ the Son of God is in you because you have believed in Him.

Then Paul taught them how to separate them selves from the things of the past their occult practices and spirits and how to seek the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

When Paul spoke about himself after many years in the faith as a chosen vesel from God and Jesus Christ it does not apply to everyone who has believed in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

On other words Paul is telling them that they are born from above from the Spirit of God by faith in Jesus Christ. 

The born from above who are the body of Jesus Christ. This is why Jesus Christ is the head of the church all the believers in Jesus Christ. 

The term is the born from above from God.

This a good study in Romans 8:15 that describes someone when he first believed.

For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, "Abba! Father!" 

In Galatians 2:20  Paul makes a statement about himself that Gal 2:20 "Christ lives in me."

In the context that as he was at that time in his walk with Jesus Christ. 

In Colossians 1:27, "Christ in you, the hope of glory."

and 2nd Corinthians 13:5 "do you not know yourselves that Christ Jesus is in you?"

Paul makes the distinction when he is talking about himself he can tell for a fact that Christ lives in me.

In Colossians and Galatians he tells that " that Christ Jesus is in you?" 

Paul for himself he said: thar Christ lives in me. 

When Paul is addressing the believers in the churches he said: that Christ Jesus is in you.     

that But for himself he said: that Christ Jesus lives in me. 

When Paul said: that Christ Jesus is in you he knows and from his own experience that he meant that to be through the Holy Spirit the Advocat who takes from Jesus Christ to us and lives in us. 

Paul did not speak against Jesus living in some of them but he distinguish to them that Jesus Christ is not living in all the believers by default. He acknowledged the ministry of the Holy Spirit.

In Paul,s churches all the believers were baptized with the Holy Spirit. That includes that some were not yet. We can tell that because he is asking the believers to seek the better gifts of the Holy Spirit together with the other. 

In the Gospel of John 15: Jesus said: if you abide in me and keep my commandments THEN ME and My FATHER will come and make our abode in you.
