Thanks Deb, for posting that. I do respect Greg Laurie and it is great that he has been able to pray for Trump.

Personally, I see Trump as one who acknowledges God and Jesus, and desires to follow His teachings, however that is not being born again. He maybe close but has yet to know the infilling of God`s Spirit to make Him like Jesus. To try and follow Jesus` teachings is in our own strength.

Another `minister,` (Jonathan Cahn) goes to extremes to tell Trump amazing things he believes God has done and will do through Trump. That is dangerous as it can lead to pride.

Important to pray for Trump as he leads a `team` to bring some common sense to the country. I know God will judge man`s systems (Political, economic and religious) however, in the meantime there is a great opportunity for people to know what common sense is and be guided to the Lord.

I watch press conferences and interviews with Trump and I see a big change in his demeanor since the assassination attempt.  He is humble.   He also said that experience deepened his faith in the Lord.

Some people might not know as much about the Bible as others, but it's the work being done in a person's heart by God that counts.

Is Trump a Christian?

I don't know but God does. God knows Donald Trump's heart. He is in God's hands.

Article VI  Supreme Law

The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States.

  • Clause 3 Oaths of Office

  • -------------------------
  • As Hilary Clinton famously said  in regard to another situation "What at this point difference does it make?"
  • -------------------------
  • To pose a religious test on an office holder  within the United States runs contrary to  the USA constitution. Plus it is an extremely dangerous standard to promote as it runs risk of demanding one faith over another as a forced compliance. It is no less dangerous than demanding atheism be the default position for  office holders.

No, it is not a prerequisite for the President of the United States to be a Christian.

The video is simply stating the pastor's viewpoint in answer to some people's question about Trump.

Is DJT a Christian?  Does he walk after the Spirit or does he walk after the flesh?  Does he mind the things of the Spirit or does he mind the things of the flesh? The answer to these questions is critical as to whether DJT (or anyone else for thst matter) is a Christian.

In Romans 8, Apostle Paul tells us how Christians will and will not live.

First Paul tells us that "there is no condemnation to them which are in Christ."  This is a statement that applies only to Christians, to us which are in Christ.

Paul then qualifies what it means to be in Christ, wherein he states: "who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.", and who mind not the things of the flesh, but mind the things of the Spirit.

So, Paul is saying that only a Christian will walk after the Spirit and mind the things of the Spirit.  And anyone not Christian will not walk after the Spirit or mind the things of the Spirit, but will walk after the flesh and mind the things of the flesh.

The things of the flesh are not simply the physical things, like food and drink and sex.  The things of the flesh does include those things, but also includes "idolatry, witchcraft,  hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife,  seditions, heresies, envyings, murders...", etc.  Galatians 5:19-21.  And, things of the flesh include the lust for power and for lust wealth and lust for political influence and lust for legacy, etc.

Accordingly, walking after the Spirit and minding the things of the Spirit means we are not occupied with the things of the flesh, but are occupied with spiritual and Godly things, like "love, joy, peace, longsuffering,  gentleness, goodness, faith, meeknes, temperance," and our chief aim and primary focus in life is to know and to please God.

So, is DJT a Christian?

Well  the nomination  of Representative  Matt Gaetz by The President elect sure has lit a firestorm of protest from at least some Jews for his  antisemitism ( Their viewpoint). Including Gaetz's statement that "the Jews killed Jesus.  The Bible is clear on that."

One has to look at that history regarding Rep. Matt Gaetz for themselves as that is such a hot button comment.

While I have not reached my own conclusion yet, it does seem so far that the President elect is setting the stage  and casting some players to institutionalize replacement theology. Personally I doubt that he realizes it.

Interesting casting anyway!

There is going to be a lot of pushback  in the US Senate against this one nomination.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
