Human weather modification has been going on for a very long time, both purposely and non-purposely. For example, wherever in the present or past there has been large-scale deforestation and/or over-grazing that has resulted in desertification (such as in sub-Saharan Africa), large scale weather changes have resulted. Including massive sand storms that affect the weather over the Atlantic Ocean, and the major droughts seen across northern Africa. Not to mention deserts forming where there used to be rain forests in Panama, due to the deforestation around the Panama Canal.

Hear what Lyndon Johnson said way back in 1962:

“It lays the predicate and foundation for the development of a weather satellite that will permit man to determine the world’s cloud layer and ultimately to control the weather; and he who controls the weather will control the world” – Vice President Johnson at Southwest Texas State University (1962) [1]

“In his subcommittee’s detailed summary statement Johnson proclaimed that our very future depended on being the ones who first seized ownership of space. “Control of space means control of the world,” Johnson declared.

“From space, the masters of infinity would have the power to control the earth’s weather, to cause drought and flood, to change the tides and raise the levels of the sea, to divert the gulf stream and change temperate climates to frigid.” Johnson continued: “In essence, the Soviet Union has appraised control of space as a goal of such consequence that achievement of such control has been made a first aim of national policy. President Johnson would go on to authorize weather warfare over Vietnam.

Operation Popeye first came to public light in March 1971, when reporter Jack Anderson published a story [4] based on a secret 1967 memo [5] from the Joint Chiefs of Staff to President Johnson. The memo read:

ACTIONS: “LAOS OPERATIONS – Continue as at present plus Operation POP EYE to reduce the trafficability along infiltration routes” & AUTHORITIES/POLICY CHANGE: “Authorization required to implement operational phase of weather modification process previously successfully tested and evaluated in same area”. (US Senate, Subcommittee on Oceans and International Environment; 26 July 1972; p. 5). [6]

There is no reasonable science-based refutation of global climate change. There is also no reasonable science-based refutation that human activity is increasing the rate of global climate change. The changes will not be enough to significantly impact the ability of living things (including humans) to survive on the planet, but there are (and will continue to be) major implications to us and to other living things.

You bring up the problem.

The climate is always changing. It will change with or without human activity.

Does human activity effect the climate? Sure. But so does the activity of animals, volcanos, the sun, and the like.

Advocators of global warming/climate change claim human output of CO2 and the methane from cow fats are the greatest contributors human-generated climate disaster. What they fail to mention is that CO2 is essential for plant growth (Go green? GoCO2!). They also fail to acknowledge the affect of water vapor in the atmosphere in temperature regulation and weather events.

Ah got it, no change just a "feels like".Feels like 8 degrees f higher here with floods and rains while there are droughts and fires raging on. All just isolated incidents as Glenn Beck would say.

Hmm . . . Interesting thing is that if a scientist wants to do a study that threatens the Party Line of Climate Change they don't get funding for it even if they are not trying to disprove it directly. Anything that might challenge that party line is not tolerated. I have a problem with that, but history shows that's how big science works: (1) Tow the party line or don't get funded & (2) publish or die. I learned that from many of the science folks while working at a university.

I have to wonder how many technological breakthroughs may have been delayed or missed due to this. Things that might help solve the issue such as some new power sources. Then again: We have nuclear fission, but that's evil in some people's eyes. Why not use that if there's such a crisis?

Perhaps the Lord is just preheating things for what's coming before He returns. I cheated and looked at the end of the book: Jesus wins.

At one point, Canada was a tropical rainforest.  At another point in history, it was under a mile of ice.  What are we worried about exactly?  If ocean levels are rising so bad, why do pictures of the statue of Liberty look exactly the same for the last 100 years?  The water isn't touching her feet.  Why aren't the Outer Banks under water?  We are all going to die, but not from "climate change".
