Well, I believe the Father is the only God, just as Jesus himself said in John 17:3. And I believe Jesus is the Son of God, just as Jesus himself said in John 3:16.

John says that Jesus was in the form of God before he sat it aside and incarnated into a human.   What/who was he before he was human Jesus?

John saysHe was in the form of God before becoming a human.  Who/what was he then?  I agree He is my Lord and Lord of all and all things.   He is the begotten Son of God also, but there is much to him beside this.   He actually created everything.  All things came from the Father, but they came through Jesus.

Jesus before incarnated was/is Yahweh.  The Old Testament God of Israel.  Many people think the Father was the God that Moses saw along with 72 of the elders of Israel, but Jesus tells us that no one has ever seen the Father except he who came from him.  We must not take Jesus's deity from his reality.

it's odd how the subject seems to have changed a lot from the original post.

We just needed to redirect the focus from distractions and division.  Those are tools of Satan.

I have learned that touching a woman is not okay. And I also believe that women aren't allowed to wear jeans. If a woman wears pants that are so tight that you can see the shape of her bottom, then I have a big problem with that. Why do women dress like that? The blame lies with America. America has poisoned the world through Hollywood. Truly, America must pay for it.

To the men here: How can you allow your wives and daughters to wear tight jeans where you can see the shape of their bottoms?

You should have control of yourself and not lose control of your thoughts no matter what a woman is wearing.   Most men in Islamic countries get out of control in seeing a woman's ankles. So they put their women in total coverage from head to toe except for their eyes.   Their women are not allowed to be out of their homes without a male escort.

That's where being so legalistic ends up.

Both are completely innocent. I never even thought about it. It's not like it's a 30 second hug with groping. I'll shake hands with women or give hugs depending on what the woman initiates. I only do one arm open hugs.

I used to do that, but I don't do it any more. I believe it's wrong to shake hands with a woman unless it's your wife, mother or sister.

Do you think it's okay if your wife shake hands with another man? Do you even think a hug is okay? I would not allow a wife to hug another man. But I wouldn't allow a husband to hug another woman either.

Shabbat shalom, #GodIsLife.

It's NOT wrong to shake hands with a woman, if she offers her hand first. THAT is proper etiquette in the USA. If she does not offer her hand, we can at least be cordial to one another and greet each other in a friendly way. If you don't know that, then you're from a country that doesn't know the Lord Yeeshuwa`. He would not only touch them but HEAL them in the touch! Paul encouraged the brethren to "greet one another with a holy kiss."

Now, there's such a thing as doing a hug properly. One can hug from the side, without showing more affection than to a close friend. But, God ENCOURAGED us to "LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF!" So, if one wouldn't want advances made to one's own wife, then neither should you make advances to the wife of another! It's really quite simple: Let GOD love through you in all you do! "Love one another," as He taught us to do.

Two things I found interesting in your statement:

First, you said, "I would not allow a wife to hug another man." You said, "A wife," sounding disconnected. Do you have a wife? OR, do you have more than one wife? I would have said, "MY wife," for I only have the ONE!

Second, would you still shake hands with your sister if she was another man's wife? What if he didn't know that you were her brother?

You don't seem to understand that, within the churches, we are ALL BROTHERS AND SISTERS within our Lord Yeeshuwa`! HE makes all the difference!

Just to give a woman’s insight. I don’t think a hug is an issue. I have tried to reduce my wearing of tighter jeans and provocative clothes, but once things are kept respectful when it comes to greetings I’m not sure there’s a problem.

The Good Lord does direct us in this

1 Corinthians 7:1 (KJV)

[7:1] Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman.

We know the body is not redeemed... so why get it involved in any way? And no one can do better than good...

the context of this is speaking of sexual relations, not a welcome hug or handshake.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
