No offence dude

Be careful in your attitude.   In my world, when you call someone a dude, it is not a positive thing.  We try not to offend each other here.

I don't want that we discuss those here, please. I'm simply asking, what do you believe to be the most controversial topics between Christians?  I'll list a few.

The Millenium

The Rapture

Once saved always saved.

Eternal concious torment (ECT), annihilationism, & universal salvation.

What else?

1) Israel

True Christian’s agree on everything mentioned in your list. The true Christian understands, teaches and preaches sound doctrine. There are not very many of us on Earth. Our God is not a God of confusion nor is his word.  We don’t argue. Only people who have not made up their minds yet, argue.

(KJV)Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Note the last sentence.

When the rapture happens there won’t be many of us who get taken up. Certainly not enough so as not to easily have our sudden absence easily explained away to those left behind.

But don’t lose hope the scripture tells us that an innumerable number of people get saved during the tribulation period. So many a man can not count them.

https://www.blueletterbible.org/assets-v3/images/svg/copyChkboxOff.svgRev 7:9 - After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number,of all nations, and kindreds, and people, andtongues, stood before the throne, and beforethe Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palmsin their hands;

the fear of the Lord is the beginning. We are instructed to study the word of truth so as not to be ashamed of to bring shame to the word of truth. Sound doctrine is not multi choice folks.

God bless.

Hello. May God bless you as well.

Revelation 7:14-17 KJV

And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

[15] Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.

[16] They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.

[17] For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

.........................

I believe scripture teaches that the last event to occur before Jesus Christ comes at the last day is the period of great  (spiritual) tribulation.

That should be the aim of everyone.

I was in a house fellowship that disparaged members from focusing on controversial issues.

Unfortunately some attendees come to such meetings for the sole purpose of raising controversial issues.

I have a laugh now as the reason for being a house fellowship involved the controversy of whether pew-sitting and pulpit oratory was Biblical. One member described church buildings as "temples of Babylon".

Jesus was often at the centre of controversy, and of course the Man versus God conflict is a theme right throughout the Bible.

Amen. Love Jesus and one another. That's it. A lot of message board Christians haven't yet learned this and should NOT be teaching others about Jesus.

Before you pass judgement on anyone's salvation, you might ask yourself if it is you missing the point. Yes, the Bible is the inspired word of God. Yes, all sound doctrine comes from it.

However, the point of it, is love. Love for God. The Bible doesn't say "obey and understand all of my doctrines" and enter the kingdom of heaven, it says to believe  in Jesus and you will be saved. That's it. That's the bottom line. If you miss the love, then the rest is meaningless.

1 Corinthians 13:1-3

If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3 If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing.

Perfectly said. Thank you.

To add to the list, what Jesus meant when he said "today" to the thief on the cross.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
