SNL skit openly promoting Satanism

Look at the dates of those movies. Many are 20+ years old.

The character of Constantine came from a comic book even older then that.

The skit was just another sinful act by sinful people. There's nothing shocking or new about it and there was definitely worse things on tv, both current and previously.

I do believe the Bible says it best when it states there's nothing new under the sun.

I'm thinking if you were all that concerned about it, you would have been throwing a fit about it 30 years ago.

Now that we got the hyperbole out of the way, while your all worried about what some fancy person is doing on a TV show geared for adults anyway that no one's forcing you to watch, they ALREADY ARE grooming people into pedofiles and child sexualization, in our very schools and public libraries.

Not even talking about the sex ed classes, children's libraries across the nation are being filled with sexually explicit and perverse books. And the public libraries are bad enough, but the school libraries where parents have no control over what their kids read? 

Yeah, that's happening right now, nation wide, and has been happening for years, since before COVID.

Seems to me if you want to be outraged about something that is what you should be outraged about it, and do something about it.

I campaigned for in my home town and elected conservative county commissioners who appointed a new library board who fired the library director because she refused to move said books from the kids area.

But please, continue with your outrage over a skit done on a TV show that everyone else has already forgotten about, and lecture me because I "don't care"

Fact is, I do care, just not about some dumb **** on a night show I don't even watch, but rather about the very real situation playing out in our schools.

Both, and it was people you would know.   I got sick over it and would give most anything to unsee those films.  I called the FBI, and they told me that they knew about it, but there was nothing they could do about it and reminded me that they were felonies to have either on film or computer files.   Not wanting to make my wife a widow, I created a sixteen digit password that I have no idea what it is and changed the password for the DNS server one has to have access to, to enter.  Moloch is alive and well these days.

If you are so unconcerned about it and never watch it, why make such a deal about Neb being bothered with it.   I don't get it.

I made what was originally a single comment sharing my opinion, because quite frankly, I grow tired of people making a huge deal of stupid stuff like this, without addressing the core of the problem, things that actually do matter and we can actually do something about.

Abraham Lincoln said it best "the philosophy of our school rooms in one generation will be the philosophy of our government in the next" which is what we are seeing, everything from this dumb skit, to even all the Hollywood movies are nothing more then symptoms of the actual problem, and if all we do is snipe at the symptoms and ignore the core problem we will never see a solution to it, ever. How does the old saying go, "miss the forest through the trees"

And like I said I left one comment initially, she chose to engage from that and try to convince me that I'm wrong. Well, obviously I didn't and continued a debate. Is that not what a discussion board is for, to share differing viewpoints?

And have been doing it for a long time.

My wife and I discovered through a christian talk show out of Dallas of what was then being implemented by the government into the public school system. Values Clarification, known by the psychiatrists community as situational ethics. In the mid eighties. We discussed it once in the car when our daughter, in second grade, heard us and told us her class was participating in class what we talked about. Freaked us out.

We pulled our kids out of school and taught them ourselves. It was illegal to do that back then, and some christian parents and private christian principals were jailed for not using this government curriculum. We had to hide what we were doing from the authorities.

The point I'm making is I made mimeograph copies of all I discovered and researched and would pass them out to all the families with kids at our church. Had discussions with parents answering questions about what was being done in their children's school. Eventually though, they would run when they saw me coming lest I lay more guilt for leaving their kids to the mind/values changers at their government controlled school.

Only one family had the stuff to also home school. It came down to everybody talks about wanting the best for their kids, but not everybody is willing to get involved and act, to  become a one income family, mom at home, give up the new cars and home and their lifestyle hanging with the in crowd.
All talk and no action.

     Well done is better than Well said...

Bottomline to me on this kind of thing is that #1, we shouldn't be surprised too much at anything evil that manifests in the world, and #2, the evil will just manifest more and more as the day of the lawless one approaches. We pray and testify of Christ (fight the good fight not against flesh & blood), and just have confidence that HE'S GOT THIS!
