Keith, I agree with Yomo staying away from the Koran and spending a few more years within the Bible. One should not look at those writings until they are very versed in the Bible and very secure in their walk with Jesus.

Mullahs and their (Iran) nukes are the logical outcome of polygamist Warlord Muhammad's "Unholy" Qur'an. It's beyond naivete, crass and deplorable, even a way-station not to Paradise but directly to Hades.

"...but the end thereof is the way of death."

GOD BLESS AMERICA!

Allah was the name of the moon god common in that area that Mohammed grew up in. He was influenced by Christians and Jews but never converted and adapted bits and pieces of both religions to his own ideas. He got his inspiration from seizures where he would fall down and foam at the mouth. Sound familiar?

The only reason for a Christian to read the koran is to have ammo to confront the moslems with. It is worthless for anything else.

2Ti 3:16 All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

The scripture is the only thing we NEED to know to do everything we need to do.

No, that's false. The closest thing to a "moon god" is Baal. "Allah" is Arabic for "God"...much like "God" is English for "God" but still used by various religions to refer to different Gods (Mormons and Christians both use the term "God" but are refering to two seperate entities).

The religion of Islam has as its focus of worship a deity by the name of "Allah." The Muslims claim that Allah in pre-Islamic times was the biblical God of the Patriarchs, prophets, and apostles. The issue is thus one of continuity. Was "Allah" the biblical God or a pagan god in Arabia during pre-Islamic times? The Muslim's claim of continuity is essential to their attempt to convert Jews and Christians for if "Allah" is part of the flow of divine revelation in Scripture, then it is the next step in biblical religion. Thus we should all become Muslims. But, on the other hand, if Allah was a pre-Islamic pagan deity, then its core claim is refuted. Religious claims often fall before the results of hard sciences such as archeology. We can endlessly speculate about the past or go and dig it up and see what the evidence reveals. This is the only way to find out the truth concerning the origins of Allah. As we shall see, the hard evidence demonstrates that the god Allah was a pagan deity. In fact, he was the Moon-god who was married to the sun goddess and the stars were his daughters.

Leonard and SJ,

I don't think recommending the Quran to a 14 year old is the wisest thing. Yomo, believe me, you're better off not reading it.

Do you know what they mean, Yomo, when they talk about infidels? An "infidel" is someone who does not believe in, rejects, or even doubts in the doctrine of another religion. In this case, what islam is saying, is that anyone who does not accept the islam "religion" should be killed. Not a very loving attitude, I'd say. :emot-hug:

Please don't use my age as a looking-down thing. :emot-hug:

If I was an adult, it would still be the same.................

Anyway.

I know what an :"infedel" is.

:24:

Botz informs me on stuff like that.

The thing is..............

Why did people follow Mohammed willy-nilly into a dumb belief?

I know they pray towards mecca, but I'm not quite sure what that's about, I will have to research more on the religion.

RC Sproll said it best, Mohammad, and Jesus Christ shouldn't be uttered in the same breath, there is no comparison between the two. Muslims believe in Jesus, they just saw him as a prophet.

Yomo, I am not looking at your age as a "look down thing." The fact is, there is a certain amount of knowledge and understanding that naturally happen as you get older. At 14 you are not going to have the same understanding of many things that adults do. It wasn't an insult. It's just a fact of life.

There is only one God. Some people call Him Allah. There are truths and there are falsities in the Muslim religion. Many Muslims that I have met love God more and are living a more righteous life than some Christians. The Koran says that the Jews are the people of the book. True Muslims would therefore love Jews rather than kill them. They have commandments just like we have. I have spoken to Muslims about the terrorist kind of people and a lot of them don't understand that because they have commandments against suicide. I think a lot of the fanaticism comes from human additions to whatever they originally believed. That doesn't mean that I think that Islam is a wonderful religion. I'm just saying that not all Muslims are fanatics. Some are righteous, god-fearing people.

Jehovah is God. Nowhere in the Word does it mention Allah as God. Having said that, I want share something with all, very briefly. A while back (2 to 3 years) I received a book which contained the basic beliefs of different religions. I had lost my way to an extent so to speak. As I read about Islam, I realized how false it was. This was the part that proved it to me. It said that heaven to the Islamic man meant x number of virigins. I knew then and realized that the Lord had lead me to this to show me how false Islam is. I thought how nice for the man. Then it dawned on me that a man had to come up with that one. Our Lord says that with Him there is no male or female. Now, that's my Jehovah God!!! .......jmh137

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
