Ok, I've got a question for all the really Biblically knoweldgeable people. Since Noah took 2 animals on the

Ark, how come we don't have dinosaurs on earth anymore? I have not been able to find a substantial answer to this question. I am a Creationist, but yet I have no idea and no explaination of how there are no dinosaurs still in existance, since the Biblical flood was the first documented global disaster.

Thanks for your help!

Hi Fathie,

There is evidence that dinos did ride the ark. There have been sitings of large lizard-like animals down through the ages.

Try doing a search here for dinosaurs and also on google for modern dinosaurs.

I tend to somewhat agree with this, it says that in the beggining God created. This has nothing to do with the first day, it really gives no account on when it was created or how old the earth is, it just says the beggining. Well satan was also a created being and this must have been sometime in between the first day and in the beggining.

And yet there really is no mention of satan or the angels creation account in Genesis. satan was already there when God placed Adam in the garden, as a matter of fact good and evil was already in existance, something that Adam knew nothing about until he ate of the tree.

There are only three acts of creation mentioned in Genesis 1:

verse 1 Heavens and the earth.

verse 20-21 Animal life (which could have also included the dino's at this point, David does mention leviathan, of which would make me totally wrong on the divine judgement account and prior flood  but then again some think that leviathan was simply a whale.)

verse 26-27 the creation of man.

One day we will know all things, but it appears that this something that God chooses not to reveal to man at this time.

Many believe that there was also a flood before the first day account and perhaps this is when the dino's were distroyed. I am not so sure that I agree with this but it is possible. One of the reasons that I can at least entertain this thought is in Genesis 1:9

Genesis 1:9 (King James Version)

9 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.

The waters were gathered together into one place and dry land appeared, so the dry land wasnt called into existance, it appeared after called called the waters to be gathered together in one place.

Now if you look at Genesis 1:1

1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

There are some that believe in Genesis 1:2

2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

Some believe by the statement formless and void, that there was a divine judgement or that simply this was the first stages of creation, on this I would love to hear other comments.

Anyway I tend to think that there was a prior flood and this was possibly a divine judgement prior to the creation of man and that this was the time that satan was created and rebelled and was cast down to earth, but this is pure speculation I must admit.

Perhaps our Jewish brothers that are versed in Hebrew would be able to correct me or perhaps agree. I believe that were two words that could have been used for "formless and void" Tohu and Bohu.

One being the origional "Chaos" discription of the state of the first stage of creation, and the second could mean divine judgement according to Scoffields comments.

Any how, I find it curious that since the creation of man, there is really no mention of these extraorinary creatures speciffically. But I will also admit I am no biblical scholar and this is just my own thoughts on the possibilities of what happened to the dino's.

For those of you who disagree with me, please be gentle :th_wave:

In Jesus

Can Do,

The answer is quite simple - the dinosaurs didn't die out in the first documented global disaster, but the last documented disaster - approximately 65 million years ago. This event is called the "K-T Boundary" event - and it wasn't only the dinosaurs that died. In fact, all creatures over 25Kg in weight died out at the K-T boundary, mainly because they were top, or near the top, of the food chain. This allowed mammals (at the time very small creatures) to evolve into the bigger creatures we see today, filling the "gap" at the top of the food chain that dinosaurs had left.

The K-T Boundary event was most probably caused by a meteor impact, the cratar of which is found of the coast of Mexico at Chicxulub. However, there are several other possible causes that have been theorised for this event, including a so called "flood-basalt" - an unusual spike in volcanic activity.

The K-T Boundary extinction is one of at least 4 major extinctions documented in the fossil record, and is the second biggest - 80% of all life was wiped out. The biggest extinction documented, ironically, was the one that allowed the dinosaurs to thrive - the so called "End-Permian" extinction, 230 million years ago. This killed off about 97% of all species. Both of these events are extremely well documented in the fossil record, and cannot be explained by so called "flood-geology".

All the best,

Nikolai

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
