I'm curious as to what peoples reactions and thoughts are of those they think of as liberals.

I'm not referring to religious, financial, social, or political liberals in specific. Simply your thoughts on the group in general. (The group being composed of those you categorize as liberals)

Also, please feel free to explain why you think that

As far as "christian liberals", I think that term is an oxy-moron. Liberals in general are ultra humanistic, and seem to lack basic common sense.

I get this from my own oberservations mostly. :)

I don't like liberal beliefs at all. I live in wisconsin, and frankly, when the election comes around, I will vote for ANYONE other than Gov. Doyle. He is horrible and has been standing in the way of giant victories for the cause of sanctity of human life. vowing to veto the cloning ban, shooting down the "Fetal pain awareness act", (mandating that abortion clinics MUST inform women of the intense pain that an unborn child feels while being killed) and an act for the prohibition of the transport of minors to other states for abortion, in order to evade the state's parental notification laws.

:)

I hear you loud and clear, my fellow Wisconsinite...Doyle has promised to wield that veto pen of his most shamefully all the days of his public service here. I would like to see him out on his kiester, too... :)

As a whole, I am not a whooping fan of either political party, and it seems that both sides often work together to frustrate good governance. I do try to discern an individual politicians worldviews, but with all the baloney one often has to try and wade through, this is not always an exact science. :) My observations leave me the with impression that there is a whole lot of hoodwinking going on. :)

Usually when I hear liberal, I am suspicious and more often than not, find myself in disagreement with them over the positions they have taken. I tend to think we are stuck under this political paradigm until... :) the beast... ;)

Well, I certainly look forward to the millennial reign of Jesus Christ. :P

Some liberals probably think that makes ME kooky. ;) That figures.

God Bless,

Mrs. SE

Liberals are generally too open-minded when it comes to morals. As for their tax and foreign policies, they can be right at times, while being wrong like anyone else.

Some of the secular liberals go way overboard in their aim to "separate church and state" though.

When I use the word liberal to describe someone, it is defiantly and insult. I have many friends who are liberals, and they are so blinded on many issues. I am a conservative, but not a republican. My wife and I are registered as independents because we think it should be about the person and the issues, not the political party. Having said that, we support the republicans more often then not. I live in Mass, and Kennedy :) is one of my Senators, but he does not represent my views. I my eyes, he is a bad man that supports evil things.

:P That is a difficult thing to do. Look at Joe Lieberman, for example. I really like him at the moment, yet when he was Gore's running mate, he tossed his conservative views away and towed the party line. Or even Al Gore,Jr. himself, who during the 80's claimed to be pro life, but in the 90's all of a sudden became pro death. I am afraid that "voting for the man," while it may work in local politics, cannot work at the federal level. All these guys march lock step with the party. As I have said before, I tend to be very libertarian in my politics, but would never vote for the Libertarian part simply because they would never get in. The Republican party, though not nearly conservative or libertarian enough for me, best represents my views, although sometimes I really have to hold my nose when I pull that lever!

Of course I'm automatically distrustful. Of course I could say this about anybody trying to promote murder, perversion, and the we came from apes thing. There are many conservatives out there who really don't believe in all the Bible. Or even many aspects of Morality. That's why our trust must be on JesusChrist. Jesuschrist wasn't a liberal like some false teachers are promoting, he just didn't hippocrites. In fact God will vomit such people out of his mouth. A hippocrite is a person with 2 faces, a person with no standing on either side. And the most dangerous of sinners, because they distort truth, or mix truth with lie, in order to get their way. One day they are promoting peace, the next they are involved in riots. One day they promote save the whales, the next they are attacking pro life. That's why in The Christian Walk we must walk in the Narrow Path, remember that Liberals call Christians Narrow Minded, this is actually a compliment. Walking in that straight narrow line, lets us know who is with us, against us, and who is the hippocrite.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
