Just my two cents worth (maybe it's not even worth that, but I hope you're willing to take the overcharge!):

1. In the Middle East, Mecca is known as the 'city built on 7 hills' and has been since time out of mind.

2. No entity has murdered more Christians than has Islam.

Perhaps we have all been looking in the wrong direction........

to the best of my knowledge, there is only one city on earth called 'Babylon', it is a sneeze outside of New York.

The 'Mystery", is the confusion in the Christian circles, (no mystery for the pagan populace).

The 'drunken-whore', is the present day 'church', Jewish where applicable/Catholic where not.

i say these by name, as they're self-appointed ideals have continually strayed from the Word. Letting this or that be, when it should have no place, before God, (or His kids).

as an addendum, whereas i liked the tid-bit on Mecca, but i would take small apportion of Islam being the greatset waster of the Christians.

a very-small tid-bit for you..... 17 MILLION Christians were killed during the Holocost, i don't want to take-away from the Jewish sacrafice, but there you go.

I'm not very interested in studying cults, so from a study buddy of mind who once was Roman Catholic states vatican's Code name is 'Mystery Babylon.' I won't doubt it. I know when ever I get debated on my opposition to that cult, they never seem to refute any of the charges against them ie the woman dressed in scarlet (pope's robe) and purple (cardnals robe) among everything else, but charges me saying if " the springs of Catholic tradition are as poisoned as you say, why do you drink from them when you need to slake your spiritual thirst?" Of corse I am a devout Karite and have no participation with reseblences, denominations or multiplcations with catholicism, and they usually are left with nothing to say. I attack catholics like I attack atheists. I love em to death, only becasue Yeshua did. Protecting wrong doctine is like protecting a virus.

No persecution here. Just a review of History and the description of Scripture. I was a Catholic. It was pesucution of the Protestants that caused them to grow.

Look at the woman's clothes. They are purple and scarlet, the color of the clothes of cardinals and bishops. if they were red, white and blue that would be more of a hint that it was America.

Purple and scarlet were also the color of Roman emperors, govenors, and men of power. The Catholic Church adopted it because under Constantine they became part of the Roman Government. IN other words, they had no choice. It's a major leap to try and link the two.
