No one has asked you to do either. I think that until you have proven to us otherwise, we are happy to receive you as a brother in the Lord. But as I said, we will point out the error where we see it - hopefully with grace and in love (But as we are human, this is sometimes a little hard).

Would you not want us to correct you if you were in error?

Do you believe that cults like LDS and Jehovah's Witnesses can have some truth and yet still be false?

Yes, and I find many truths in many different places. And not just in Christianity.

Christianity just has more of it.

I can see where you are going with this, that I may hold a little of both, too, right?

No, that's not where I was going at all, but you makea point.

Where I was going is this: The LDS and JW's have missed the mark theologically. It does not matter whether they have a little bit of truth at all, because they have predominantly strayed from the entire truth of God's word.

Paul warned the believers in Corinth and Galatia respectively not to listen to deceivers who preach another Jesus, and another gospel. Since Jesus is the center of the gospel, anyone who preaches a Jesus differently than who is recorded in the Bible, is a deceiver and false apostle. Therefore, anything that they preach concerning Christ, whether it sounds like the truth or not, is false.

The Jehovah's Witnesses may preach that the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sins, but the Jesus whom they preach is a false Jesus. We know that they do not believe Jesus Christ to be fully God, as the Bible clearly reveals. So even though the statement may be true, we must reject this "truth;" for in reality, they preach a false Jesus and a false gospel. Understand?

Now, the problem I see here is that you are pretty much reciting LDS errors and a couple of thinly veiled JW errors - whether it is your intention or not.

No, such is not my intention. I have glanced over the teachings of a lot of things, but do not really know any of them in depth. And I do not have affiliation with any organization.

I am glad that we can agree on at least some things.

I have studies both the LDS and the JW's in some depth.

Believe me, brother, they are WAY off target.

I would.

However, it seems that is more of a one way street.

You expect me to take your correction, but not the other way around.

I truly believe that I have been taught by the Lord. I have been shown many things.

And I will tell you, I can not be convinced otherwise. The Holy Spirit has me already convinced.

I will always consider what you and the others wish to show me, and I may find a flaw in my understanding and will welcome correction.

But I understand God in a fundamentally different way, everything from the most basic equation/formula of the Creation, to the Pattern of Life everything is based on, to time and the dimensions. I understand how Life progresses through the heavens.

It is marvelously simple, while at the same time marvelously complex.

I may sound whacko, conceited, or arrogant, but I truly understand what can not be understood without the help of the Almighty.

What would you have me do?

I would appreciate it if you took the time to read this thread here (click to link).

Perhaps we can pursue the matter of Jesus and the Father there in more depth.

I will, but I will have to do it tomorrow. I am off work in 10 minutes, and have the wife and kiddies waiting for me at home.

I have no connection at home, so I do all this at work.

Good thing I have an understanding boss, eh?

That is just too long to get through in less than an hour, I think.

So I will respond in this thread tomorrow, if that's ok.

Heresy is often a mixture of truth and error, rather than all falsehood.

It helps to differentiate essential truth (Deity of Christ) from important but non-essential truth (rapture, tribulation, etc.).

Eph. 1:3 Every spiritual blessing is in Christ. We do not need horoscopes, Watchtower magazines, Mormon prophets, Popes, televangelists, etc. to get the 'truth'. We do need the Holy Spirit to illuminate the revelation of Scripture.

We should have yellow lights when an individual gets their teaching directly from the 'Spirit'. Eph. 4:11 says that God sets in pastors and teachers to equip us and keep us from error. God reveals truth to the whole Body of Christ through the ages. If an individual has some new 'revelation', it is quite possible it will not stand up to rightly dividing the Word of God (2 Timothy).

I John 2:27 does not preclude biblical teachers. The warning is to not be deceived by false teachers/heretics. With every fad and wind of doctrine today, we need discernment that comes from study of the Word, teachers, and prayer. I do not see being part of a strong local church with godly leadership as optional either. Lone Rangers are vulnerable to being picked off by the wolves.

Predestination.

God want s all people to get saved.

He gave His only begotten Son to die for our sins so we would have everlasting life.

God also gave us a free will to either exept this or reject it.

God did not created robots, He wants us to choose who we would serve, its either Him or the devil.

Because God is all knowing, knowing what we will be choosing, He knows if we are getting saved or not.

He wants ALL people toget saved. And He will give everybody the same chance ......to either reject or exept the Son of God. He will not influenze our decision, its up to us.....but He knows because He is all knowing what we will choose.

Hope this helps??

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
