It takes nothing more than excepting the gift of salvation in wich Jesus gave his life for with all of you heart mind and sole.

THis seems hard thing to do giveing over you're intire life and future to God, and i a way seeing theough the eyes of a non-belive may seem like you are youre givin youre self into slavery but to tell you the truth once on has done so they start to relise that there is more freedom both in this world and in the next than they could have ever imagend.

To gain eternal life it takes none other than JESUS CHRIST - our hope for glory!

WE need to repent of going our willful ways and being our own god of life and ask God to forgive us, and believe and pray that JEsus come into our life , our heart, mind and souls and be our own personal Lord. HE IS Lord, but make HIm yours! Pray to HIm, asking HIm to be your Lord, and believing HIM that He is God in the flech and He died for our sins, rose again on the third day and is the SOn of GOd HImself. We are saved by what Jesus did on the Cross and not by our works so that none can boast of his own works. HOwever, that does not mean we jsut go our own way, but we sanctify Jesus in our hearts and commit our WIll to HIs will. To the Holy SPIrit living in us andd HIs guidance to our lives, through our lives.

Heaven is assured and we can celebrate JESUS !

But reward, may we never do it for our crown nor rewards, for reward will vary on whatr we do for CHrist with our lives, let us do it only for LOVE of JEsus Alone!! :) :)

BUt NONE of this is MY IDEA< it is all spelled out in the Life of JEsus Christ as recorded in the totally reliable text of the New Testament of the Holy Bible.

Please read Johns book, the book of JOhn, and prayfuully seek JEsus as yours. HE is loveable purely and turley loveable GOD!

ou really may enjoy this also..

To gain eternal life God has to draw you close to Him.

All the other comments I have read in this subject fail to acknowledge that.

People really don't like to hear that if God does not choses to reveal Himself to you

you will never be able to come to Him.

It has to do with predestination which nobody like to talk about eventhough it is all over

new and old testament.

so, I know that I belive that Jesus is the son of God. Therefore I am going to heaven for He has forgiven me my past future and present sins once for all.

But what I have done to get to this point?

The answer is nothing. Even the faith I have in Jesus God gave me.

So what is there else to say :) ?

Sometimes I think I'm living in the Twilight Zone when this topic comes up which is at least once a week because I enjoy listening to the pop-Christian television sermons of that minister from the mega-mega-church in Houston every Sunday. His sermons are entertaining enough but unless I manage to change the channel before he launches into his 15 word prayer at the end of his telecast which he claims will save you,I become completely disgusted.

Actually the Bible is just full of things that we must do to obtain salvation because our salvation is dependent on our belief that Jesus is the Son of God which means we must follow ALL of his teachings including the seemingly hardest one for many Americans to follow,"THOU SHALT NOT KILL".

What I find most astoinishing is that so many Christians totally overlook and in some cases actually dispute, Jesus' words in John3:3-9 in which He mentions two very specific requirements for salvation, the water baptism and the baptism of the Holy Spirit. In fact there is one large denomination that rejects Jesus' teaching because they claim it is a call for "works" which they claim the Apostle Paul taught us not to engage in.Hopefully they will be able to explain all of this to Jesus during the Judgement. :)

I don't follow the "Thou Shalt Not Kill" line in your post. I think we deserve further comment to understand where you are coming from on that issue. In regard t your last paragraph what would you say about the thief on the cross, did he meet the minimal requirement for salvation?

Hmm, what about the thief on the cross? Did Jesus get him down and baptize him? As far as the Holy Spirit, we are given the Holy Spirit upon salvation. Pentecostals, such as myself, do believe in a separate baptism in the Spirit, but by no means is salvation dependent upon that. Furthermore, I would be careful setting myself up as a judge because in essence that is what you are doing in the portion that I bolded and highlighted. The Scripture says that it's not of works lest any man should boast, so go chew on that a while! :noidea:

If I have to work for my salvation, or there are conditions that require me to physically do something in order to obtain salvation, then Christ's death was useless.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
