Hello my dear brother and sisters,

Oftentimes we listen to the worlds' definition of meekness -- meekness is weakness.  But the reality is that meekness is a admirable strength.  I'll start the discussion off with a verse.

Numbers 12:3  (Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.)

Was Moses weak?  So what's the real meaning of meekness?

Now let's have a great discussion on the real meaning of meekness.

Your brother in Christ with much agape love,

George

Before being saved there were times that I was kinda harsh....you know if someone rolls their eyes at you or treats you like your stupid...I would sometimes lash out at them with words....after being saved I found that my mouth stays closed alot more now....but now I can think back on sometimes when I did get angry at someone and wonder, why in the world did I get mad?...I think I imagined in my own mind that these people were mocking me and they weren't....Praise God my eyes have been opened ! :thumb:

I have never felt guilt or remorse for being meek after salvation.....but I can remember the nights of sleeplessness and remorse I had if I lashed out at someone before salvation.

Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight. <>  Peter 3:4

Love and Blessings

:thumb: Great topic, George! I just shared my faith story at church 2 weeks ago, which revolves around meek vs. weak.

It takes great strength to be meek; to just be still and know that God is  in control and I am not. Once I came to terms with that, life sure got easier. It is a struggle every day, though--honestly the fleshy nature constantly tries to get back in the driver's seat. Prayer is my only refuge. He calms me as soon as I ask. :inlove:

Remember the saying years ago: God is my co-pilot? I have often thought of that and when I put God in the co-pilot seat, I am wrong with him. God is my pilot. amen.

 That's how I ended my faith story--by saying "If God is your co-pilot, you need to switch seats". :)

Greetings George,

I think what I will bring up is the epitome of Meekness:

Psalms 8:5 For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.

Hebrews 2:7 Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands:

Hebrews 2:9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.

Now here IS God, who for the sake of His love for the world, lowered HIMSELF to be in our likeness:

Romans 8:3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

AWESOME!

and had at the same time a humility that no man has ever matched:

Philippians 2:6-11 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: 8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. 9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

All honor, power and glory to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Blessings,

Dad Ernie

Meekness is humility...strength under control; grace in it's glory.

2Cor 10:1.."Now I Paul myself beseech you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ, who in presence am base amoung you, but being absent am bold toward you:"

Ga 5:22.."But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, lonsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, (23)..Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law."

Love is gentle towards all, by it's strength anger and hatred are overcome. By it's strength death was defeated, by it's strength one can live eternally in heaven with the Lord.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
