I hear a lot of Christains talk about this mark. From what I understand no one will be able to buy or sell anything without this mark. That means that satan will be in control of the world, right? If that's right wouldn't that mean that when this mark is actually forced on people God's children will not be here? We are going to be taken out of this world before satan takes control correct? I think we should learn about the mark, but not because it will affect us. Only to prepare those who are left after we are raptured. I don't know... will someone please enlighten me? Thank you.

God bless you

I have understood the mark to represent a trading system with the world that we will be given the opportunity to say no to, at the start of the tribulation. The church will be raptured soon after. I don't know if this is the only way to see this as so much of revelation is still not fully understood. I just feel the safest place for us is to remain obedient to God and to His Word for He will always be our shelter and refuge.

The mark of the beast could be just about anything. The important thing to look at is the beast itself, and the forced worshiping of this beast. Lucifer's followers will manage to take over this world and form a global power that will cause everyone to worship the beast. The mark is for these people who have given themselves over to the beast and worship.

If you are concerned about this mark, you should be looking for what this beast is and who the son of perdition is.

When the beast raises, you'll not have any trouble knowing what the mark is. Until then what the mark will be is simple conjecture.

Please be prayerful in considering anything written in the book of Revelation.

#1 : be sure you "bear witness" with the Spirit of God

#2 : be sure you "understand" the book of Genesis

#3 : be sure you "know" the love of God

The "mark of the beast" has been so trivialized over the years purposefully by the enemy of the cross. It is not "only" a GPS tracking system. It is not "only" a number. It is not "only" a form of government. It is not "only" any one thing. It is a product of all those things together. It is a way of thinking. It is a belief. It is a "lie" in summation that men/women will believe. Read Genesis 3 and then read about the mark of the beast. It will illuminate your spirit with truth.

1: Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

2: And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:

3: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

4: And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:

5: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

6: And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

7: And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.

Peace.

The rapture will take the true church out of this world ... there will be believers here on earth after that, the ones who knew of Jesus but didnt accept and know HIM, they will not be raptured, and will then have to go thru the tribulation, anong with the unbelievers.

Gods Church will not suffer His wrath, it is for the unbelieving world. Anyone left behind after the rapture will have to either take the mark or not take the mark.

So I have been taught and learned from scripture. Rev. 3:10, 2 Thes. 2, Rev. 6:17, cf. 1 Thes. 1:10 and 5:9 ... although I am no expert, but a seeker of truth, like you. I also believe that the great deception mentioned in verse 11 & 12 of 2 Thes. is a deception about where all the people have gone who were taken up in the rapture ... it is a theory of mine that the deception could be "they have been taken in space ships"?? Purely a guess.

I hope these verses helped you!

I wonder if the "mark" in Revelation is the same as the "mark" that God put on Cain.

I believe that the mark of the beast is for trading and purchasing purposes that people will accept during the very difficult times. We are coming up on that time. "a loaf of bread for a bag of gold"..all we have to do is look and see it is upon us.

Rev 13:6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.

7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.

8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

Sounds to me like its gonna be pretty obvious what/who the beast is so i wouldnt worry about things like bioIDs and banking type chip implants, it will be so blatantly obvious that it will be the last thing you will want to be associated with.

Also heres a thougt for ya'all... number of God '3' number of man '6', creation raising himself up as creator???

Lucifer angle of light got the boot for what?? wanting to be god

Eve and the tree of knowledge ... to be like god

Tower of Babel

Satans temptation of Christ

The mormon church - traslation to godhood (not implying that the LDS are the beast)

Kind of a pattern forming here what do ya think

How do we explain to Christians in 3rd world countries who are being tortured and killed because of their testimony of Christ that there will be a rapture before tribulation begins?

Christ said that at the end of the world there would be both the wicked and the just. He says it's at the end that the wicked will be severed from among the just. It's the wicked who he says are being removed, not the just.

Mt 13:49 So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just,

Jn 17:15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.

Christ also told us that those that believe upon Him and follow Him will loose their lives....

as far as the end of the world, that is not when the rapture takes place, nor does it 7 years later at the battle of Armogedon, but after the 1000 year rule of Christ, when satan will be released from the pit for a "short" season, then the battle of Gog and Magog, and then the final judgement, where those that are un-righteous will be cut off and cast into the lake of fire. to share in the eternal punishment with the fallen angels...

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
