Does anyone here know of someone who has actually cast out a demon? What was it like?

Yes I know someone who has cast out demons. From what I can gather you need to be walking very closely with the Lord as it is not to be taken lightly.

Ive had one cast from me, and i have fought them. Havent ever cast one out from a person though. If anyone reads this i need prayer to stay strong in my faith. I fell into sin for a little while, but recently i conquered it and came back to Christ. I never lost my faith, nothing that severe, but i was sinning when i knew i shouldnt have. So please pray, I had a heart to heart with Christ, I prayed for a long time and then just collapsed and slept and felt great afterwards, but its been awhile and im struggling. I will not do it again, but any prayer would really help. And if anyone wants any help on spiritual warfare stuff you may contact me again, I have purified myself now and am close to god.

Please, tell me where I can get more information about spiritual warfare and the spiritual world. Just reading about this stuff is giving me goosebumps. I must learn more! One question, thought. How do you know if you have a demon or demons within you? And then, how do you fight it? Thanks, Your brother in Christ, matthew

Not difficult at all. I had been cleaned out first myself....can be time consuming., need to stay connected with Jesus cotinually and listen to The Holy Spirit. Main problem is not to be distracted by what is said...seen... and to remain loving to the person and hating the demon. knowing when to stop. If its enough. Having one removed...some remember , some do not.

Be careful where and what you learn from! Look to the Scriptures, they will tell you all you need to know concerning spiritual warfare! Prayer is our weapon, along with the gifts all working together with the Armour of God (Eph 5).

Observe what Jesus and His followers did when encountering people with demons - they used the Name of Jesus because all things must bow to it! There's power in His name!

edit: take a look at Luke 10: 17 - 20

Discernment of Spirits is needed to see whether someone has a demon in them, wisdom too is essential! Don't go headlong into a battle if you don't know your where your authority lies (ie, the Holy Spirit and being in Christ) - we can see examples of when things go wrong in Acts, when some men were trying to cast out demons using the name of Jesus but having no authority to do so and not really understanding what they were doing. The demon (manifesting through the man it was in) pretty much laughed at them and then beat them up so that the men ran off! edit: Acts 19: 13-16

If you have demons within you, you know it. You might not recognise exactly what it is at first, but you know there is something else there that isn't "normal". I've been there, it's not nice.

Grace to you,

Infestation progresses toward symbiosis. At some point it may literally be impossible to have them taken out of you and you survive the ordeal.

Scripture is quite clear, that when Jesus shows up, the demons have to go. :emot-wave:

What is the focus of this thread?

I understand that there are to be questions about this sort of thing. However we must be careful to keep the focus on our Lord, lest we get lost in the darkness and lose track of the Light.

That's true. No matter how bad it gets, if one turns to the Lord for help, He can deliver!

God can do the impossible !:mgcheerful:

For me,

God's ability is not in question.

And:

God's ability is not in question.

But

Men are not God.

And:

We do not tell God what to do, where or when. He decides.

Well of course. Who suggested otherwise?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
