When I see this kind of disaster I always think of this scripture...

I know disaster can happen anywhere and to anyone.....

and I also know God works all these things for good to those who love Him...

Luk 13:2 And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things?

I didn't read it that way at all, and it does make one wonder...

I think one of the alarming things about this is the fact that natural disastears like this also help the spread and mutatioin of disease as water and living conditioins worsen. This coupled with the possible Bird Flu situation in Indonesia....

One of the things that seems to be missing in modern christianity is the wrath of God...and while Jesus does teach us to love others...when he returns people will die, and some will be condemned.

And yes this can be used to reach out to those poor people in love...and to show the love of God.

I hope I did misunderstand the point of your post. Have been, amongst many things, studying Theodicy for a couple of decades. The Book of Job, Holocaust, 9/11, 12/26/2004 9.3 Richter/Tsunami that literally shook the planet, Katrina, Wilma. .....Would be glad if you would explain your initial post and the reference to "Muslim" [some Muslims credited Allah with the severe sandstorm at beginning of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003]. Some say God gave Katrina, some say Satan. Some say Satan gave 9/11. Some say God has taken the hedge down from the USA and given Satan His time. Some say this, some say that..."deceiveth the whole world/ the very elect if that were possible".

To me, we are in an indecribably vicious spiritual war and it APPEARS that The Lord God is bringing this all to the END. Not that I know He is.

From an 1884 Bible Dictionary I have the author states about Satan is that Satan endeavours to break the bonds of truth and love that bind us to God and to one another. The Devil ,diabolos, --false accuser, murderer, liar. Twisted, perverse.

The devil in that sense had been my father up until I was supernaturally born-again at age 36 in 1980. He hates me and I cannot express how much I hate him.

I look to Worthy Watchmen as The Last Word {not knowing "for sure" all your responsibilities[worthyboards is to me in someway a private residence owned by George and his team, where those of us below the various authority/owner levels are guests in the house and do not and should not have a "need to know" about stuff and are subject to being thrown out the door if we aren't proper guests], my sense is that your "job" is impossible to do!} and am trying diligently not to cause work or problems for them. I believe I understand that you all are trying to protect worthyboards and all the guests, including not have worthyboards cause harm to Christianity nor allow guests to do harm. Sounds like an easy job to me.

I think kevkeegsdad expressed it along the lines I was thinking.

You see, after the tsunami came another earthquake, and I think there's been a "minor" volcanic eruption, and there's a risk for more . . . .

I have been pondering, "Why Indonesia?" As in, why are they getting hit so hard?

When I came across the fact that Indonesia has the highest Muslim population, I wondered if there was a link. And hey, if someone else has a clearer understanding of why Indonesia seems to be getting hit harder than any other country, I'm all ears.

I'm not saying we should judge and hate. But I also am aware that sometimes the Lord either causes or allows hard things to happen to get our attention and cause us to seek His face. And yes the Lord does want us to minister to those in need.

Does that clarify?
