I have changed my life because of my commitment to surrender to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

I have been healed of the following:

hatred

Satanism

self-abuse

sex addictions

severe clinical depression

attempted suicide

women abuse

using people for my personal gain

alcohol and drug abuse

I could go on, but be assured that I am alive, and full of the joy of the Lord. If you care to read my whole testimony, you can read it below.

But first I want you to know that there are a whole lot of people that have been through a lot more then me and have found release.

Don't beat yourself up, but build yourself up--in the Lord. He loves you and wants to forgive you. Don't listen to the lies of enemies, but cling to the promises of the Lord.

The testimony of Jesus Christ (according to Jake)

I thought I should share the things in my life that have brought me to know God personally through His Son, Jesus Christ. I had a wonderful childhood, always on the move to Colorado, Florida, or one of the lakes in Missouri. When I was fourteen years old, my father, at the time just 42, passed away from a heart attack. It was his first one and I was the one to first discover him. I struggled for a long time to recover from it. At first, I reached out for anything that I could that would make me feel better at that time-- instant personal gratification. I tried drinking alcohol but turned into an alcoholic; a buddy of mine had a neighbor that would supply us with all the free booze we could handle. We all went over there everyday after school to drink and party until it was time to go home. This went on for a long time. The newness of that wore off and the depression came back.

So I turned to taking drugs. It was something new to block out all the pain I felt by being

Wow...........

What an amazing story.

As I was reading your testimony it reminded me of a foster child (boy, now 15) who used to live with us. He still drops by, but he's often mentioned his baby sister who died, and I never until now connected any of his current self-destructive lifestyle to that event, but now it makes so much sense - that he talks about it quite a lot. I never probed or questioned what happened, but I wouldn't doubt he's feeling the same way you did about your dad.

Thank you for sharing that and God bless you. You're an inspiration to myself and others.

T---I am actually looking for many responses as I have prayed for a plethora of things on several different aspects throughout my life. My prayers are like a diamond mine, actaully, the prayers are the facets of each diamond, millions of them, three decades worth.

I was hoping I'd find the answers, but I have found none.

I'm beginning to believe you on the story of Elijah...yes, we have to relax in order to hear God speaking to us...good ness, I've been trying to see it all this time, I knew I was right.

The word, you say? My God...he has been speaking to me.

e--I feel your pain. Though I haven't done all that you've done physically, spiritually, I think you and I have the same criminal records.

Yes, I agree.

I might suggest something that may help you.

Read a few Psalms every day and when you come across a verse or few that really speak to you at that moment, write them down on a piece of paper and read it at least 25 times that day. Just keep it in your pocket.

Some of my favorite ones are:

Psalm 37:7

Psalms 130 & 131

Psalm 46:10

Isaiah 41:10

Matthew 11:28-30

I could go on and on, but you will find some that really speak to you.

Just remember this above all:

Jesus is Lord and He wants to deliver you. He is willing and able.....are you?

If you know of any people that would be encouraged by my testimony, feel free to use it for God's glory.

It ain't mine to do anything with!

Thank you so much for your kind words, they mean a lot to me. I know that God will use me to give encouragement to those who feel like they have no reason to be encouraged. There are no excuses anymore.....just joy and peace from God~

And He even saw fit to give me a BEAUTIFUL and TENDERHEARTED wife!!!

Keisha and I were married just over a month ago...August 23rd. She is the most beautiful bride since Eve in the Garden of Eden!!! :t2:

Here is a link to some pictures of us.

THANK YOU, JESUS!!!! :P

e---bless you for helping me see the light. I do read Psalms very often, and I'll be a monkey's uncle if they don't relate to me completely, a whole lot of them.

Now I know for sure that they relate to me completely, because I used to wonder whether or not they actually did, or if I was just being emotionally meldromatic (as my mother has always been seduced into believeving by my father), but now I know--and the situation has finally been resolved--they do.

I will do as you said and find a Psalm to put in my pocket to say 25 times a day.

Bless you sir.

I will definitely keep you in mind the next time my young friend drops by. I will mention your story if and when the moment seems right to do so, and maybe, with your permission, give him your email address? If that happens, I'll email you first though to let you know what's going on.

Great pics. Your wife is very pretty and what a cool name!

:t2: Your mom must be so proud of you now.

Congratulations!

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
