Well no, there's no marriage in heaven as there is no lust or sex in heaven although I believe you'll be re-united with your loved ones, I don't recall what the bible says about people you knew on earth and their roles in heaven but it says no marriage in heaven.

The thing is, we don't really understand heaven, accept that it is very good and we will be totally satisfied, I will not feel pain or sorrow or need.

Christ made some very specific statements that lead us to believe that our very nature will be changed in heaven, He tells us we will be like the Angels, that is why there will be no marriage. He was responding to some questioning by people trying to trip Him up. They were saying that well if I married my brother in law, after my first husband died and we all ended up in heaven, what would we do? Jesus said, you don't understand, we are like angels in heaven, in essence saying that we will not have these human problems and issues of which marriage is one.

So I don't think it is worth worrying about. If there is no sex in heaven, it will not be a problem because there will be something even better. But since sex was God's way to create human biological life, I doubt there will be a need for it, although I don't know.

I think the mistake is trying to compare our existence now to what it will look like in Heaven including marriage. It is simply beyond our comprehension to understand a world of perfect love not touched by sin. There will apparently be relationships, but in a way we cannot begin to understand now. Our view of the eternal is still blinded by sin and the effects of the Fall. The things we perceive to be virtuous and just are still included among the sins that Christ died for. No eye has seen and no ear has heard ... .

One of the hints given in scripture concerning our lives in heaven and afterward is in I Corinthians 13:12

Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

There is no doubt that in heaven and in our lives after Jesus returns to earth we shall have great knowledge. If I know my loved ones now I would think that I shall know them then. And love is eternal. The love that I have for them now ,if it is the agape love from God, will continue on with me in heaven. So Yes. I think most certainly that we will know each other in heaven regardless of how old a person was when he died. The body of Christ will know each other. Today's life is a preparation for that eternal life yet to come. However, the day is going to come when the earth is recreated or replaced after it is burned with fire that all of this that we know now will be forgotten as the eternal ages roll on. How thrilling to even think on it all.

Sex in heaven? Absolutely not. There is no need of it. The body of Christ will have been perfected and there will be no need for procreation. Our desires will not be coming from the needs of the flesh.

But also we will be members of the Bride of Christ! We will all be serving and glorifying and loving Him with an eternal joy and love.

this is a question posed to Christ by the temple rulers, trying to foul him up, and they did not believe in the resurrection anyways....

if there were 7 brothers, and one had a wife and died with out a child, and the second married her (out of obligation for his brother, redeemed her) and he also died with out a child, and the third did the same, and he too died, and the forth, fifth, sixth and allas, the seventh brother died, whos wife would she be in the resurrection?

the answer Christ gave, exposing their trickery again and again, she would not be any, for there will be no giving or taking of wives (or husbands) in marriage....

after the first resurrection, we (( the church)) are the Bride, and ((Christ)) is the BrideGroom. no other marriage is needed.

There will be no more marrying in heaven! But--I do believe that those who are already married are going to be tied to one another in some way. Family is very important to God. He thinks in that way. I believe that we will actually be situated in heaven according to our family, its ancestry all the way back to Adam and Eve. Like a honeycomb effect. That is interesting to me.

I doubt there is a Biblical basis for my leanings, but it is fun to think about.

FA, have you ever read the book called Heaven? I believe the author is Randy Alcorn, I read his book after my son was killed and I don't know how much is true or not........but it made me feel much better.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
