I would like to hear your stories of any Miracles that you, a friend, or a family member, or anyone for that matter that has expierienced from God. I love to hear stories of Such, and How God works in our lives. Hear is mine:

God be PRAISED!

1. At this time i had a baby, 3 months old or so at the time. My Husband, Myself, and my baby were in the car on our way to home. We lived on a mountain, so there was windy turns and such. We knew that road like the back of our hands. We were driving along and infront of us was a Tree Dangling on the road. It wasn't exactly fallen to the ground yet, just dangling there. We couldn't stop in time, or slow down enough. The Vehicle went straitforward to the tree and smashed the Front window. Now here is the Miracle in the Story: The tree smashed the window, Went Up and over the Vehicle, kinda like it bounced. That tree could of Easily Smashed thru the window and into the Vehicle and that would have been the end of it for my family. My Son didn't have a scratch on him or neither did my Husband or I. I Believe that Somehow, maybe an angel or such could have lifted up that tree up and over us so we could survive. God is Great!

2. My Son was playing in our room with a bouncy ball. He asked me to play with him so i did. To my mistake i threw the ball straight up in the air, and the Ball hit our Glass Light Fixture on our ceiling, its about 10Ib heavy of glass. My son was standing right underneith the fixture and it was falling, somehow, It seemed like he got pushed out of the way right before it was gonna fall on him. Literally seemed like he was puhed out of the way cause he moved and fell to the floor. :whistling:

3. I had to take my dog outside to the bathroom and my son was watching cartoons. I expected this to be like every other time i take my dog out, nothing unusual. I came back upstairs and my door was locked, and the only thing i had with me was the phone. (I did call my husband, i was waiting for him to return my call). I shook the handle and said honey let mommy in. He was too young to know how to do it. So he kept trying to twist the knob and it didn't work. he had stoped trying by this time, and i kept shaking the handle hoping it would just open. By this point i was scared, and i sat in my hallway praying, i prayed and said God thru you all things are possible. God please help me and protect him. Soon after the prayer, i tried again and twisted the doorknob and suddenly it Opened! I walked in my house, and my son was sitting on the floor away from the Door, and he was playing with his pair of shoes. :24: My husband came home shortly after, but still to this day, i have no logical, scientific reasoning LOL for that door to come open. My explanation is God is a loving God who helps us and loves us. If you ask for anything in Jesus name it shall be Given!

I would like to hear yours.

YSIC,

Amber

Errr, is that a miracle???

:wub:;):emot-hug::wub::6::emot-hug:

Anyway. My salvation was a miracle, and I wish more people looked at theirs that way. It gets hard on some people who have prayed for miracles and for some reason God says no. If they could just look and see that God has done miracles for them because they are saved and because they are becoming more and more like Him everyday. We all have at least two miracles...their new heart...and at least one thing God has taken from them via Sanctification.

:)

I have a miracle to tell you about. i was in a car wreck when i was 18 yrs. old. i was coming home from school and was hit on the drivers side of my car by a man going about 35-40 mph. the car spun around, hit another car and stopped. when i came to i was in the back seat on the right side. i had only minor injuries and no one else was hurt. to see the photos of the car after the accident is disturbing. i know that the only answer to how i survived was that Jesus himself came down or he sent some of his angels down to protect me. either way i am very blessed.

Where to start?

At the beginning I suppose!

The first time I ever really KNEW the Lord had 'spoken to me' was within just a few days of my salvation. In the night I just 'knew in my knower' that the Lord had said: "I want you to become a catholic Priest."

Now the only 'catholic' I knew anything of was Roman Catholic, and so I assumed this was what He meant. Over the years I had visited a Saturday evening 'casual Mass' with a Roman Catholic friend of mine, and that was all I knew of 'catholic.'

Immediately all those who were my seniors in the Lord assured me that had been the devil, imitating God, to trick me into a perfectly awful spiritual state! They brought up all the errors of Rome (most of which they were actually wrong about; they had set up 'straw men' of their own creation, thinking THAT was Rome!), and talked me out of it.

So it was only many years later that I learned the difference between the Church catholic, and the Roman Catholic Church, and by that time I had settled into a comfortable Charismatic ministry. I finished up my BA, and received a remarkable invitation to attend a Jesuit grad school for theological studies; a fine scholarship and a fellowship awaited me. The elderly Assembly of God Pastor under whose Ministry I had gotten saved many years before, was quite a-typical of my mentors and compatriots, as he told me he thought the Jesuit school would 'be rich' for me!

While pursuing my 3 year M.A. (a course of study comparable to the Doctoral program at the University of Vienna, and considered one of the top M.A. Theology programs in the world), I got a nagging 'discontent' with our Charismatic worship.

Well, in any event, I lost my job, and one night a few days later, the passage from Isaiah 61: 1-4 really stood out to me. I couldn't get it out of my mind. The next morning was Sunday, and as my duties called me to be at church earlier than my wife, I was driving along, and decided to listen to the radio. The preacher who came on, immediately read this SAME PASSAGE, and he managed to make this VERY EXCITING PASSAGE, thoroughly boring! Still, it was of interest that the same passage had occured to me twice now. On the way home from church, another radio Pastor was talking about the SAME PASSAGE! I just KNEW it had something to do with my own discontent.

Taking every little odd-job I could find to get a little money coming in, I cobbled enough scratch together to go out for coffee with the Pastor and his wife, and speak with them. As an Elder in our local church, and being close friends with the Pastor, I met with him, and although my wife was most uncomfortable at the prospect of 'changing churches' I told him I just felt God was doing something different in my life, and asked if I could have 6 months off, to look at other churches and forms of worship, and try to discern what God was saying to me. Pastor Joe--to his credit--was most forward to allow me this time.

The next two weeks, that same Scripture passage Isaiah 61:1-4 kept popping up in front of me unexpectedly. And those two Sundays I went to two different churches, where BOTH Pastors were preaching on it! "It doesn't mean ANYTHING" my wife insisted.

I had heard of a place off across town which bought used wooden pallets, and one day while I was driving along, I saw a pile of about a dozen nice wood pallets down an alley. "What the heck?" I thought, "money is money." And I picked them up. My wife wanted to go along for the ride (though I can't imagine why; it was summer in Phoenix, and my truck had no air conditioning! I guess she's just a good sport...). So coasting in on fumes in the gas tank, I arrived at the pallet mart only to be told, they didn't purchase the kind I had! DOH! He said I could drop them off at his wood chipper, which I did.

On the property was a large rail road loading dock, and I noticed a whole bunch of smallish boxes had been dumpped on the ground accidently. Some had split open, and liquid had spilled out. On one box I saw that the contents was premixed dry wall putty of some sort. No one seemed interested in picking up the boxes, so I asked if I could have them. I figured I could sell a box or two at a swap meet or something...... The fellow said 'sure', so I drove over to pick some up. Imagine my amazement, when I discovered that on the bottom of EVERY SINGLE BOX in bold letters was printed: "ISAIAH 61:1-4"!!!

In any event, this passage came my way NINE TIMES in a two week period. After reading in the Fathers, I realized I wanted to minister in a liturgical, sacrimental church, but I was also Pentecostal/Charismatic, and didn't think any church combining these two things existed. As I looked through a magazine, I spotted a letter from a "Father Ken Myers, Sherman, Tx." Now I had known a Ken Myers back in Texas, at a little Pentecostal Bible College. If that was the same guy, what an extraordinary turn of events THAT would be; why he would have MADE the journey I was LOOKING AT! I located him via directory assistance, and sure enough it was he, himself! He had become a Priest in something called the "Charismatic Episcopal Church" (he's a Bishop now...and a capital fellow!). And, sure enough, they had a Bishop in Tucson, whose number Fr. Ken gave me. I called the man, and met with him in Tucson (he was a Professor at U. of A. in Tucson), and he told me there was a church in Phoenix which would 'probably' be joining them in January. When I found out what church, I was doubly astonished; for the Pastor had been my Head Mentor in undergrad school, and was a man for whom I already had the utmost respect.

In any event, very shortly after completing my M.A. Theology I was back in Phoenix for the official ordaining of this man as a C.E.C. Priest. And the music used in the C.E.C. for the Consecration Hymn is Isaiah 61:1-4! There remained no question in my mind why that passage had occured to me over and over again for the last several months!

That was long, but it WAS miraculous, and the story of how my wife came along is another miraculous tale all its own, and for another day.........

What a great idea, Angelkade21! We often concentrate so much in debating that we forget how important it is to remember and testify what the Lord has done in our lives.

Now a couple of miracles from my walk with God.

1- Upon coming back from an overseas vacation a female friend contracted Dengue Fever (also known as Breakbone fever.) She spent around three days in bed, not eating, unable to walk, having high fever, palpitations, etc. No relatives around and boyfriend thousands kilometers away. Some neighbours had prepared food for her several times but she couldn't eat. She phoned me on a Friday and I took a 160km night drive to visit her. What I found was really an appalling sight. She appeared debilitated, lost significant weight, was pale, couldn't talk without struggling for air, and didn't have strength to walk. I was consternated. Something inside of me urged me to pray and lay my hands on her, which I did. I then went to the kitchen, prepared a hot soup and forced her to eat some. She fell asleep and I took my place next to her bed just in case she needed me. Saturday morning, as I prepared to go for groceries on her behalf, she stood up and walked off her room! When I came back 3 hour later she was almost her normal self, save the weight loss. She then told me having felt a wam sensation growing up in her chest and spreading all over her body as I was praying and laying my hands on her the previous night. Praise Our Lord!

2- While on call at a rural hospital one Sunday, I received the urgent call from a nurse in the delivery room. A baby was born with asphyxia and she couldn't resuscitate him after 20 minutes or so. Now that was bad news. There was very little hope to bring him back and, even if that was possible, permanent brain damage was a certain sequel to fear. As I entered the room, the sensation of a cold, dark, heavy air greeted me at the door (the air conditioner was off). The mother was recuperating in the delivery bed and right on the opposite wall the nurse stood in frustration with the lame body of the newborn over the infant resuscitation trolley. The only sign of life was a faint, slow heart rate very difficult to hear. I felt compelled to start resuscitative efforts again and prayed in my mind while undertaking them. I know that I did everything I was supposed to do from the technical point of view, but there was 'something else' with me, taking over part of my consciousness and automating my physical actions. After 45 minutes, the child was alive. I did not see him again after that ordeal and often asked myself what finally happened to him. Did he die few days later? Did he develop brain damage? To my amazement, he came for consultation after few months not only alive but also without a hint of developmental problems. Praise Our Gracious Lord!

The interesting part of the story is that by then I was only a convert!!!

Brother Jorge: THAT IS WONDERFUL!

To continue on: My wife was quite happily settled in to our Charismatic church (New Life Fellowship in Glendale, Arizona), and just could not see us going to a liturgical church....even if it was 'Charismatic, Sacramental, and Evangelical'! I said that was fine, she should go there Sunday mornings, while I went to the CEC church, and then we'd go to the New Life Fellowship on Sunday nights and Wednesdays. As often as possible I also went to Matens and Vespers at Christ the King, Charismatic Episcopal Church. This continued to several months.

Then one Saturday morning, Sheri told me she had had a spiritual dream that night. She did not know what it meant, but she had seen Jesus on His Throne, but instead of a white robe, He was wearing a lovely deep green, brocaded robe. As soon as she saw the robe, and marveled at its beauty, she woke up. She did not know what the dream meant, and I must admit, I didn't either. Now as Pastor Joe and his wife were going to be out of town, Sheri had decided she would visit 'my' church on that Sunday morning.

I hadn't thought about it, but in our confraternity, this, the First Sunday after the Epiphany, is the beginning of Ordinary Time, and entails a change of liturgical colors from the Purple of Advent season, and the White of the Epiphany, to Green.

At the Procession, my wife leaned over to me, and said: "THAT is the exact robe Jesus was wearing in my dream!"

THAT CONVINCED HER! By the way, we remain close friends with our former Pastors, Joe and Pam Phillips.

In my Ministry I have seen the Lord heal so many people, it would take pages and pages to tell of them all. God is Good! One in particular was a close friend named Terry (TJ), who will tell you that when I prayed for him, God raised him from the dead. A young girl had recieved an injury that actually dislocated her left ovary. Actually, the Lord told me about it, and I told her. She was soooo astonished; but God knows things we don't! As I stretched out my hand to touch her, the thing VISIBLY leapt up, raising a little (golf ball sized) lump under her knit dress, moved across her abdomen, and POPPED BACK INTO PLACE! Praise God! Another friend had suffered from the worst acne I had ever seen, and I'd never felt compelled to pray for it. But one day, at Youth Group, I JUST KNEW it was his time for healing. I called him up, and said: "Tony, the Lord is going to completely heal your acne." He was already somewhat scarred from the long-term affects of such bad acne, but within TWO WEEKS his acne was GONE, and left no new scarring! I myself received a miraculous healing when my ribs were broken in a car wreck.

But I go on too long! What do I call this? I call it A NORMATIVE CHRISTIAN LIFE!!!

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
