Hey all.... Lately on the boards I feel like I'm getting misinterpretated. Everybody thinks one thing by reading through the posts and not really sure as to who says it and the automatically assumes that it is the first person writing it. Plus lately everyone is being rude. Something of which REALLY bothers me to a point of a pet peeve. I just wish chrisitans could all get along. Ok fine if you have a different opinion I'm not forcing my belief down your throat. I'm not even doing it mean. In fact alot of my posts are ususally so nice you have a hard time finding something mean in them. I just *sighs* don't like being violent and all across the boards it seems like people simply can't go ok that's your belief and I'm fine with it.

I had my first patient today and she's just in the end stages of life. Its really heart wrenching to watch someone go down and have people sitting here complaining about life.

My friend, it's amazing how we, under Christ, can sit around and tear each other apart each day.

Sometimes, we get so caught up in the discussion at hand that we simply can't wait to show everyone else just how brilliant we are. I find it odd that on a message board, some of us tend to post before we think. It's ironic because we have all the time in the world to think about our words before we type them.

I have been doing these board thingies for about 4 years now, and still haven't been able to answer why I do post mean things some time.

But, I'm working on it.....

As for your first patient, thus begins an incredible work for God. You are in a postition to touch so many hearts. It's tough business, but you can be in comfort knowing that the Lord has brought you directly to their lives. May He continue to bless you in so many ways!

Sometimes we have a tandancy to jump at a person without fully understanding. It's called being human. I have a question, you said you had your first patient today, are you an MD or a doctor of somekind??? Just wondering.

Hmm, well if I might offer a different perspective....

First, it's extremely hard to read a person's tone or intent on a message board, until you get to know them at least. So if you're already sensing you're being misunderstood, maybe put a little extra effort in how you're wording things? I noticed you made another post similar to this one just a few weeks ago, so it's apparently something that has happened enough for you to bring up twice in one month. Have you considered that maybe it is the way you're coming across? I'm not trying to be harsh here, or hurt your feelings. I'm trying to help you see another perspective k?

Secondly, another thing you might consider is that perhaps you are misinterpretting other people. Maybe you really aren't being "attacked", but you're just perceiving it that way? For instance, I just read your post in the tattoo topic to AK, found here in post #38. Honestly, I'm not seeing how his post was attacking, and yet you took it quite personally and counter-attacked. What I'm saying is....maybe you are the one doing the misinterpretting.

Third, I understand your frustration with being misunderstood. It happens to me alot too. But when I'm misunderstood, I've learned to try to clarify my position the best way I can. People are going to disagree with me, people are going to disagree with you. When they challenge your beliefs (and they will), see it as an opportunity to sharpen your faith and your "ready defense", instead of an "attack". Some issues will be "disputable" matters that are personal preference, but other issues will be matters of principle. When people disagree on matters of principle you'll be hard pressed to find someone who's just "fine" with disagreement. If you aren't willing to defend your belief, or if you don't feel willing to be challenged on it, it might be something you may not want to post about then. My suggestion would be for you to avoid posting in controversial topics or on issues where debate is likely. Maybe this will protect your feelings and keep you from being potentially misunderstood.

Hope this helps.

Lady,

I understand completely how you feel. I feel the same way about certain threads.

People get all hot headed and judgemental and it makes you hurt and angry.

There are certain people who tend to come off as harsh when they post but it is hard to know what they are really meaning without the body language.

If I smile when I post something but forget to write "lol" people dont know I was joking.

It happens.

I try to stay out of the really controversial threads but I do read them to learn. If I have a question about what is posted, I usually P.M. someone I trust.

Anyways Lady, you have a valid point and I like having you here.

I appreciate your input.

sister Gia

Plus lately everyone is being rude. Something of which REALLY bothers me to a point of a pet peeve. I just wish chrisitans could all get along.

Being rude or "showing up" a person is also hard for me to take. I can really relate to LadyGunivere'. Isn't it true that one of the attributes and signs of being a true born again believer is love for all their fellow brothers and sisters in Christ? I certainly am far from perfect and I definitely slip up from time to time, as I would think would be true for everybody here. So please know that the following words of mine are from a very humbled spirit, and not meant to degrade anyone at all. I am probably the least of all of you.

I think it is of the utmost importance for believers to make a concerted effort to try and put a smile into most every line we post. If it is posted in a derogatory or belittling way, then just don't post it. It is my feeling that communication with plain words are so easy to misunderstand the intent of the poster often times. This is because words have a real hard time expressing any emotion, and people tend to read between the lines. Not to say there isn't a problem here sometimes, but I think many posts may read like they rude, when in reality the poster did not mean it in that way. I also know that many posts are just plain rude. Being rude is not only a problem in the Worthy Forum, but it is also a problem in Worthy Chat as well. I am new here, but I see a lot of very curt responses from many people in the chat rooms at times, including the moderators. I can't help but cringe when I see it, but I try to keep myself non judgemental. If I were to judge any of you, I would only be passing judgement upon myself.

I hoped that it might help to post some scripture about love for fellow believers. The below scripture all comes from the section of Love that John writes in his first letter. I know it is a blessing for me to read it. I hoped it might be a blessing for you too.

1 John 9-11

He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now.

He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.

But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.

1 John 11 & 13-14

From the beginning you were told that we must love each other.

My friends, don't be surprised if the people of this world hate you. Our love for each other proves that we have gone from death to life. But if you don't love each other, you are still under the power of death.

1 John 18-19

Children, you show love for others by truly helping them, and not merely by talking about it. 19When we love others, we know that we belong to the truth, and we feel at ease in the presence of God.

1 John 23

God wants us to have faith in his Son Jesus Christ and to love each other.

1 John 4-21

4Children, you belong to God, and you have defeated these enemies. God's Spirit [a] is in you and is more powerful than the one that is in the world. 5These enemies belong to this world, and the world listens to them, because they speak its language. 6We belong to God, and everyone who knows God will listen to us. But the people who don't know God won't listen to us. That is how we can tell the Spirit that speaks the truth from the one that tells lies. 7My dear friends, we must love each other. Love comes from God, and when we love each other, it shows that we have been given new life. We are now God's children, and we know him. 8God is love, and anyone who doesn't love others has never known him. 9God showed his love for us when he sent his only Son into the world to give us life. 10Real love isn't our love for God, but his love for us. God sent his Son to be the sacrifice by which our sins are forgiven. 11Dear friends, since God loved us this much, we must love each other.

12No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and his love is truly in our hearts.

13God has given us his Spirit. That is how we know that we are one with him, just as he is one with us. 14God sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. We saw his Son and are now telling others about him. 15God stays one with everyone who openly says that Jesus is the Son of God. That's how we stay one with God 16and are sure that God loves us.

God is love. If we keep on loving others, we will stay one in our hearts with God, and he will stay one with us. 17If we truly love others and live as Christ did in this world, we won't be worried about the day of judgment. 18A real love for others will chase those worries away. The thought of being punished is what makes us afraid. It shows that we have not really learned to love.

19We love because God loved us first. 20But if we say we love God and don't love each other, we are liars. We cannot see God. So how can we love God, if we don't love the people we can see? 21The commandment that God has given us is: "Love God and love each other!"

Thanks for taking the time to read this, and perhaps taking a refreshed step in loving your fellow believers.

May GOD bless you all, and may GODS will be done on earth as it is in Heaven, and in each of our individual lives till the end.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
