Why target the girls?

well in the south african newspapers it said that he targeted the females because he had unholy desires and wished to molest them - the police found proof of this on the shooters person i do not wish to mention exactly what but it was a lubricant - is all i will mention. He also confessed to having molested two other girls related to him on suicide notes found . What i do not understand is his wifes comments that he was a loving husband to her daughter if i was her i would check her daughter medically.

You would be surprised at how loving a father can be and still be molesting his daughter. If the daughter was molested (which I believe she probably was), I'm sure the mother had no clue. Pedofiles (sp?) will always come off as kind and "normal". It keeps them safe.

I couldn't agree with you more!

Now a days a person who harm's an animal gets heavier sentencing than a molester. There is something wrong with this picture.

My heart goes out to the families of those little girls. I think it is an awful thing and I will never understand it. It is an evil thing when people want to kill or hurt little children.

I think we christians discount or ignore the spiritual realm in most areas of life.

I often wonder if ordinary flesh is capable of such filthy horror as this without pressure from a source outside itself. I think the answer is no.

We will never know all of his reasons. We are dealing with a person who was possibly mentally ill, or demonized, or both. We will be trying to apply logic to a situation that is illogical. What I rest in is the goodness of God. This was not a surpirse to Him. I can trust His character that all things will work together to a result He can call good.

I've just been watching the latest reports from several news channels about this, and what struck me most, after the absolute horror of it, of course, is that most, if not all, of the Amish community seem to be talking only of forgiveness.

This strikes me as very, I don't know - unusual. And I don't mean it in any bad way. I hadn't heard about the Amish community until this story broke, but if they are really trying so hard to forgive such an horrible evil at this early stage, then it must show a great strength of character from such people....

I'm not saying that molesting is wrong or trying to defend him, but I DO know that father can still love his daughter but not know HOW to love her the right way.

I would hardly call a man loving that would molest his daughter. You don't do something that will scar someone for life if you love them.

What I mean is...a father can convince the world he is the best and be molesting his daughter in the next room. He may love his daughter but not know how to show it appropriatly. Some people are messed up ya know...they think sex=love.

Far be it from me to judge his heart or feelings because I am not qualified.

Bottom line...molesting is wrong, evil and sick and there needs to be much harsher punishment for the people who do this.

Some don't do it with the intent to "molest". They don't know HOW to love. To THEM, they are showing their love that way... to the rest of the world, its just molesting. I know its molesting, because you shouldn't do that to a child or anyone. But some don't view it that way...it is love to them.

It is hard for me to believe that anyone doesn't know it is wrong to molest their children.

I'm sure they know it is wrong, that is why it is done in secret.

How in the world did a thread dealing with the murder of innocent school girls turn into a debate over whether or not we should feel sympathy towards child molesters? I can't believe what I'm reading.

I don't see that.

I don't see any dabate about wheather we should show sympathy or not, I don't even see a debate. How did you come to that conclusion? Did I miss something?
