Ben, I'm an atheist. I don't think your god exists any more than I think that Zeus exists. Period.

I'm not "rebelling", I just don't think it exists.

Seriously.

It's really that simple.

I don't have an ulterior motive, I'm not in league with your Satan, nothing of the sort. I simply don't believe your god exists.

I am sorry to hear that you think that.

OK! when you stand before God Almighty, you won't have a leg to stand on. Those so-called reasons for disbelieving are flimsy excuses...they won't hold water. God has made it easy for us, but atheists make it so hard for themselves, thinking that somehow the mind has to be appeased! It doesn't! It's the heart! God speaks to the heart of man! The mind follows.

If your god spoke to the heart of man and gave us all the evidence we needed, I would not be an atheist.

Our great God did give us all the evidence we need, and you are living in it, on it, and because of it. The problem is that your heart is blind, your spirit is dead, and wants to stay that way. Open up, and let Him show you Himself. All you need do is one day ask Him. He will do it! He can be counted on for that!

I really don't feel it's money promotion that is at the root!

I simply feel that the atheist mind drives them to search

out others that have similar thoughts. The more people

they get to agree with them the more they feel they must

be right. And if they can cause a Christian to stumble then

the atheist feels triumphant.

Like someone has stated this has been going on and will

continue to go on till the end time.

Why would a atheist care one way or another if God exists

hmm simple if they are wrong then they are going to hell

and misery loves company!

Is God forcing the atheist to come to Him, no ofcourse not!

Are Christians forcing atheist to turn to God , ofcourse not!

So let them write their books all they want and make their

movies in the end God will have final judgment on them!

God Bless!

When I was a Christian, I would have chastised you in love.

What I would have said might have been something like this-

It is not up to you who will go to heaven. We are directed to love our enemy, because even the heathens can hate their enemies. How is that transcendental to human wisdom? Judgment is the Lord's, not yours. If you are without sin, then cast the first stone.

If we are directed to show God's love, which is for all, and judgment is not our place, then you are being prideful in your assessment and are slamming the door shut on some human beings simply because you have decided that they, in their curiosity, are not living up to your standards.

They will know us by our love.

Since I am not a Christian any longer, then I will ask you to try to show love in order to convince me that the purpose of this board isn't just about some stupid intellectual argument that you seek to win, but all about me and my salvation, because, so far, you are falling well short of your directive.

Were I still a Christian, I would be suggesting that you realize that you are telling the world that Christians are hateful. Since I'm an atheist, I'm telling you that, if you are indeed a Christian, what makes you different from any other person who dislikes anyone who disagrees?

k

I don't believe any Christian should debate against love, because love is good! Love never fails: 1 Corinthians 12:8. But bold debating should never be confused with a lack of love. Jesus said there was none greater than John the Baptist, yet John the Baptist called people vipors. I don't think anyone would say Jesus didn't believe in love. He taught us to love our enemies. Yet Jesus had some real choice words for people in hot debate too! Like: (your father the devil) Jesus also called people vipors too, just like John the Baptist.

Jesus also said we shouldn't cast our pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet. So there are appropriate times when Christians have to be bold & frank about things. Christians might even have to fight for their families such as in time of war. David was full of mercy & compassion for his enemy, yet he was a warrior after God's own heart. So I don't buy into all this, that Christians have to always be so kind to all who oppress us. Love is one thing, but being a fool is another! I believe the Muslim terroist who killed several thousand people in New York, should expect some form of retailiation for their deeds. So will Christians retailiate under some conditions. I don't believe Christians should have to be door mats for the ungodly to step on. See scriptures below.

You contradicted yourself.

Interestingly, the Hebrews never believed in a messiah like Jesus, never believed in a devil, never believed in hell, and certainly never believed in pagan stories of a God-Man that died for the sins of the world.

They still don't to this day."

and

The ideas of a devil or hell crept in after the Babylonian captivity which took the intellectuals, which included the priesthood, to Babylon where such things were believed in.

But the truth is that the devil was a part of the bible at the time of Moses since he wrote Genesis. The devil is in Genesis. As I recall that was a tad bit before the Babylonian exile.

The OT Jews believed in a promised Messiah. They were still looking for Him when Jesus arrived.

You should do a bit more studying.

I am not here to change your mind, only to insure that what you believe is accurate according to all that is known.

If you are determined to believe what you have written, then go ahead on. If you would like to know what Moses thought of what he wrote in genesis, then there is a lot of information that you may not have yet heard.

The thing is, if your faith is based on such things as Moses knowing about a devil, then your faith is in jeopardy. My own faith was based on such things, and I've since lost it. If you'd rather not lose your faith, then post no further.

k

Why exactly did you lose you faith? Just wondering, And, what ever you can say will not cause me to lose faith, but with respect, why exactly did you lose your faith?

I have over the last several months been doing research over the internet about the theory that Jesus somehow

was some copycat or myth. If you do your research objectively to find truth, without personal bias, you will come

to the same conclusion that I have. Many people, from what I have read, have asserted that demons or the like

"knew what was coming" and "Satan as counterfeting the true" based on these assertions of supposed "similarities"

between our faith and others. What I HAVE found is a more simplistic answer, albeit hard to swallow by most.

The claims of this are simply outright lies; they hold no basis in reality whatsover. The people that write books

of this nature may indeed be inspired by a spirit of antchrist or demons, but regardless, they are simply liars,

twisting things to an absurd extent. A legendary god that came from a rock to the people that write books such

as these (which convenientily appeal to the masses that wish to deny christ and they know will sell) is equated with

"The virgin birth." In other words, some stupid legend about how some god came out of a rock is evidence that

it is a direct parallel to beliefs of christianity. It's insane. But it makes money, appeals to atheist, the "sciientific"

and the majority of society. Appealing to our common sense and objectively and factually evaluating the claims

of these so-called scholars will lead us to no other conclusion that these people are just a bunch of fanatical liars.

I'd be hard pressed to make a decision wether or not even THEY believe what they write. But money being a

factor, In the form of selling books to the masses, I suppose, this is irellevant to them.

God Bless.

You list one of many similarities.

Lets see some more:

Birth under a star

Visit from Magi or other significant men

Birth from a virgin

Attempt by another jealous ruler to kill godchild

Missing young adult years

Claim to be son of god

Claim to be God

Accepted by people but later hated by same people

Has a supper the day before death with followers

Instructs followers to eat bread as his flesh and drink wine as his blood

Surrounded by twelve disciples

Death on a tree or cross

descent to hell or hades

resurrection on third day(days sometimes differ)

Ascent into heaven to join father diety and become judge of man.

I'm sure this has already been said by someone else, but I just thought I would throw it in there. Don't try and "refute" one similarity and ignore the others. That is bad scholarship and shows that you haven't even attempted to read any of these "blasphemic" books. It shows that you went to google and saw some christian website that said, "christian scholars say this is wrong..." and then stopped reading.

This will not fly with anyone who already isn't a believer. I look forward to hearing more from you. You gave it an honest try and this is one of the toughest objections that Christians have had to face.

Respectfully,

system

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
