Paradise is literally a tropical paradise inside the earth, illuminated by the light of God. :laugh:

WHERE in the Bible do you get that idea from?

:huh::thumbsup::ph34r:

Paradise was Hades, not Hell.

"Hell was not unlocked until Jesus was in the grave for three days. When he arose and Ascended into heaven that was the opening of the availibility of salvation for man and condemnation to "Hell" offered by the enemy.

From reading the posts in this thread I have come to the conclusion that a Christian is free to believe whatever he wishes about heaven, hell, purgatory, limbo, Paradise, Abraham

Amongst other passages,

"Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth? He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things." (Ephesians 4:9-10)

Yes, He now has ascended into heaven after first descending into the grave that He may fulfill all things. Nothing mystical or complicated about it.

So what you're saying is, this beautiful paradise of which Christ spoke is simply the grave? Wow. Some paradise. :whistling:

And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise. (Luke 23:43)

Yes the NIV has it:

John 3:13...

No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven
