Mine are all the Christian Christmas Carols.

What Child is this?

Oh Holy Night

Silent Night

Away in a Manger

The First Noel

God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen

Hark! the Herald Angels Sing

It Came Upon A Midnight Clear

Joy To the World

Little Town (of Bethlehem)

Mary Did You Know?

O Come, All Ye Faithful

O Come, O Come, Emmanuel

We Three Kings of Orient Are (Star of Wonder)

:emot-hug: These are the only type of Christmas Carols that truly represent the TRUE MEANING of Christmas!!! :emot-hug:

No Santa Songs for me!!! :emot-hug:

Ahh...there are so many, aren't there?

It's so hard to choose a favourite (english spelling :emot-hug: )

I just LOVE Christmas Carols!

I love most of the older carols, but I'm really liking some of the new Christmas music also. I've always loved "O Holy Night" and "Ave Maria." Another favourite is "Bethlehem Morning." The lyrics are by Sandi Patti, I believe:

Lift your head no need mourn his hand is stretched out still.

For unto us a child is born his promise to fulfill.

Jerusalem he cried for you.

He did not come to us in vain.

His loving arms are open wide for you.

And he will come he will come again.

Bethlehem morning.

Is more than just a memory

For the child that was born there.

Has come to set us free.

Bethlehem sunrise.

I can see him in your eyes.

For the child that was born there his spirit never dies.

He is the lamb who came to man.

His love will never will grow dim.

And if that brand dawn has you Jerusalem

And we and we will reign with him.

Bethlehem morning.

Is more than just a memory.

For the child that was born there

Has come to set us free.

Bethlehem sunrise.

I can see it in your eyes.

For the child that was born there

He's the King of Kings

And the Lord of Lords

And he will come again.

I also really like "Breath of Heaven," lyrics by Amy Grant and Chris Eaton:

I have traveled many moonless nights,

Cold and weary with a babe inside,

And I wonder what I

I found it... ! Trans-Siberian Orchestra's "Christmas Canon" :

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas

The joy that he brings

The joy that he brings

The joy that he brings

The joy that he brings

This night

We pray

Our lives

Will show

This dream

He had

Each child

Still knows

We are waiting

We have not forgotten

On this night

On this night

On this very Christmas night

If I ever get married, and the wedding happens to be around the holidays, I want to have a choir (accompanied by an orchestra) singing that song. I love Amy Grant's "Home for Christmas" CD also. It's really homey.

I do want to note, that, although I really like "Ave Maria" for its beauty, I don't agree with the underlying doctrine.

What child is This?

Not my favorite, there really isn't one I can pick, but this one is at the top of my list.

Welcome To Our World

Michael W. Smith

Tears are falling, hearts are breaking

How we need to hear from god

You've been promised, we've been waiting

Welcome holy child

Welcome holy child

Hope that you don't mind our manger

How I wish we would have known

But long awaited holy stranger

Make yourself at home

Please make yourself at home

Bring your peace into our violence

Bid our hungry souls be filled

World now breaking heavens silence

Welcome to our world

Welcome to our world

Fragile finger sent to heal us

Tender brow prepared for thorn

Tiny heart whose blood will save us

Unto us is born

Unto us is born

So wrap our injured flesh around you

Breathe our air and walk our sod

Rob our sin and make us holy

Perfect son of god

Perfect son of god

Welcome to our world

What is your favourite, or favourites? And why?

"Mary, did you know?" by Mark Lowry

...because it expresses the awesomeness and magnificence of the Word becoming flesh.

Mary, did you know

That your baby boy

Would someday walk on water?

Mary did you know

That your baby boy

Will save our sons and daughters?

Did you know

That your baby boy

Has come to make you new?

This child that you've delivered

Will soon deliver you.

Mary did you know

That your baby boy

Will give sight to a blind man?

Mary did you know

That your baby boy

Will calm the storm with his hand?

Did you know that your baby boy

Has walked where angels trod?

When you kiss your little baby

You've kissed the face of God.

The blind will see

The deaf will hear

The dead will live again

The lame will leap

The dumb will speak

The praises of the Lamb

Mary did you know

That your baby boy

Is Lord of all creation?

Mary did you know

That your baby boy

Will one day rule the nations?

Did you know

That your baby boy

Is heaven's perfect Lamb?

This sleeping child you're holding

Is the Great I Am

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
