This has to be too obvious to be the antichrist.

Actually, I believe that he will come in an obvious manner, like satan he will be full of pride. I dont know if he will claim to be antichrist, but he will come in like a banging gong, performing "miracles" etc.. and as mentioned will propose a peace agreement with Israel.

Of course he will not claim to be anti-christ. He may claim to be Christ. Or (as I believe) he may claim that Christ was indeed the Christ.

He wont announce that he is the antichrist when he comes into the scene. Satan is more clever than that, the Bible tells use that he will use flattery to gain power among the leaders. Its not until 3 1/2 yrs after he brings the seven year peace treaty with Israel which he then makes his moves to declare himself as god.

The interesting thing about the 3 1/2 yrs of peace before all hell breaks loose is considering the rebuilding of the Temple. Israel has already noted before that if they follow the same laws as their fathers concerning the rituals of the OT sacrifice and rebuild the temple it would take three and a half years for them to complete it and offer the first sacrifice following the rituals. But the problem is Muslims own the property where the temple needs to be rebuilt at, and have their own temple built upon the same property. But its been measured and noted that its possible to rebuild the Jewish temple on the same piece of property along side of the Muslims temple.

Now what I personally see in all of this is a Muslim leader coming into power with a 7yr covenant (peace treaty) and is supported by a Jewish figure who will most likely claim to be Jesus causing the Jews to be deceived. Remember that the Jews see Jesus as a great prophet of God, not as God. And together they will make it happen to allow the rebuilding of the Temple standing alongside of the Muslims temple....what a great symbol of unity and peace hey . And during this period the Muslim leader will continue to climb in ranks using flattery to deceive the world leaders until he gains their support and the support of Muslims around the world. And of course after the Temple is rebuilt he causes Israel to stop the sacrifice and he then makes his move showing his true hand by setting himself up in the Temple as god.

I'm curious as to why Israel never gets the chance to offer up the first sacrifice in the new Temple to God. Personally I believe that God is trying to get it across to them that Jesus was and will be the last sacrifice ever needed.

You can see what it will eventually lead to, a Muslim leader, who himself will condemn a lot of the Islams actions for the past. And with Israel's support and both the antichrist and false prophet pushing their goals for 'peace'. Now where does this place true Christians in the eyes of the world when we stand against this cause? You guessed it....against peace and the well being of Israel. You see what Satan is doing? turning the world against the Church, which has always been his goal..to destroy the Church (the body of Christ).

So they are serious about this messianic-type figure, apparently. If so, then scenes like this will probably increase, and intensify.
