eric, I agree with your standing, it makes sense.

Naturally it would be better to have a bad earthly life but go to heaven, than to have a good earthly life but go to hell.

I guess the way I see it, is the best way to convert someone is to first try to help them in their current strife. If they are sick and dying on earth today, it would be a hard sell to get them to believe that there is a God out there who loves them. But if people attempt to heal them, and make their earthly lives more comfortable, they will be greatful, and will want to know what inspired us to go out of our way to help them. That is when you explain that you are doing it because of God's love for all people, and when they see that God's love inspired you to save them, they will be more inclined to believe and follow this loving God through your caring actions. Merely proclaiming the gospel won't necessarily mean people will listen or believe, you have to show them the good of God through actions in order to help them believe.

You've got the idea, OH, I have no idea of what the christian churches are doing to help the programmes, by I have a very strong suspician that some people are doing a bit of chest thumping for their own personal Glory. Then again I could be wrong.

:emot-highfive: Discipleship is for believers, not unbelievers.

Battlecry, if the Lord put evangelism on your heart, that's great! Please understand that not all are called to be evangelists, and there is more to God's Kingdom than the gates. OK? I praise God for your burden for the lost. The Lord so desires for all to be saved. :emot-highfive: But He also wants those who are saved to grow deeper in perfection and knowledge of Him. Some workers are meant to to work in these areas. Sure, we do what we can to bring the lost to Christ that we encounter, but that might not be our ministry focus. It truly takes a gift to evangelize. :emot-highfive: (I know, because I certainly don't have that gift!)

I love your zeal for the Lord and your heart for the lost. Go for it! But do remember that some people require more than a tract to get saved, if you know what I mean. Some people, for instance, might need a faithful friend to soften their heart. OK?

We are all called to be evangelists, nebula. We are to preach the gospel to every creature...no special gifting is required for that, although the Holy Spirit does come along and anoint many people with the gift of the evangelist. We are all supposed to disciple also, and yet the Holy Spirit does gift certain people with a great ability to teach and exhort as well. But we are never off the hook in these callings. I am sure you do not disagree with this, eh? :emot-handshake:

Floating i respectfully disagree. Evangelism is a gift, just like prophacy, apostleship, teaching, minister. Not everyone is called to do all of those things.

that is up to God to choose what each individual does. Paul said that he wished that everyone could have all the gifts but that won't necessarily happen.

What he has called us to be is a witness. Thats different.

Ephesians 4:11-12 (NIV) It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, 12 to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up

We are all supposed to spread the gospel. We are not all called to evangalize. Big difference. We are all gifted in different areas, the bible is pretty clear on this.

:emot-handshake:

Lord what would you have for me to do?

Don't assume the answer that the Holy Spirit gives you is the same answer that he's speaking to everyone else. Christ is the head of the Body and he decides what/when each member of the body needs to be doing at any given time. As long as you're following what the Holy Spirit is leading you to do then its Jesus doing his business through you and you should be praising him and giving him the glory for it....and not be worried if others are not doing the exact same thing that he leads you to do. :emot-highfive:

The vast majority of these people are entering Hell. Christ has commanded us to share the Gospel with those that are perishing. What are you doing to reach the lost?

Just wondering something.... Where do most of these people die? which part of earth?

Didn't I just say that there is a special anointing for Evangelist? We are called to preach the gospel to every creature and to baptize and make disicples of all the nations, and He would be with us to the end of the age. all the giftings help that get done, but He wants to find us doing it when He returns.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
