And who is the one that completes this "process"....which is a guarentee in scriptures?

Clue.....it's not the saint.

Lets see you line these few Scriptures up with that clue. And mind you this is just a few of the many that deal with the conditional on our freewill choices of salvation.

Okay, if God is the One Who Save Me, then it is God who saves me, I cannot save myself.

If I can do something which will "unsave" me, then salvation is up to me, I can save myself if I can "unsave" myself.

Once God has me in the Palm of His Hand, I don't think I can be the one to let go.

God did not say he will save me as long as I walk the thin line. He said He would forgive me of my sins and grant me (get this  ) ETERNAL life.

Eternal is Eternal, so what's the problem? You want to be your own God and say that you can undo what God has done? I think that is the result of pride.

Actually some do let go just as Satan and 1/3rd of the heavenly host did. When we were saved, our will wasn't checked at the door. That's why Jesus said in John 15 that He will abide in us IF we abide in him. It is a covenant relationship.

John 15:5 "I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. 6 If anyone does not remain in me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned.

We have a good discussion going on in another thread that you may want to check out. It focuses on the follwing question ---

If you believe in OSAS/UES, how do you reconcile Jesus' words to His disciples in the vineyard? John 15 is an awesome discourse and the key to the Truth regarding this issue.

God Bless all,

Wayne

God started eternal security:

Romans 11:29..."For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable."

Says it all right there. Salvation is a gift...read Eph 2:8,9,10

mmmmmmm........

You should all read my new post in answer to Saved by Grace's inquiry about John 15 1-6.

Actually, Satan started eternal security:

Genesis 3:4

And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die.

Nobody here is denying that we do have security in Christ (key word "IN"). Just because God will not revoke our salvation, that does not mean that we can not walk away from God after our initial salvation experience. In fact.........

Hebrews 3:12-14

See to it, brothers, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God.  But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin's deceitfulness.  We have come to share in Christ if we hold firmly till the end the confidence we had at first.

Salvation is a relationship that involves two parties. Salvation is not all of God, and none of man. It is not all of man, and none of God. It is both/and, not either/or. God initiates and we respond. He provides the grounds for salvation (reason for which=grace) and we meet His conditions (not without which=repentance, faith, continuance with His help).

Rom. 9-11 is about the nation of Israel (gifts/calling), NOT individual salvation.

Having grown up in a "once saved always saved tradition" and then later being discipled by "falling from grace" folks, I went to the Lord and asked Him which idea was right. I expected that He would answer through His word as I sought Him. Initially I could only go back and forth in trying to decide which camp I fit into, but all He would say is "Just trust Me".

I have since realized that I have no control or decision making capability about anyone's salvation but my own, and since in this life only today is promised, and the Bible clearly states that "Today is the day of salvation" that all the scenerios I can think of are fruitless for me.

Am I saved today? When I am convicted of sin in my life I have the opportunity to let my heart be contrite and repent or to resist the Spirit. I have made both choices in the past, but "Today is the day of salvation" Is my conscience clear? Am I rejecting his favor and mercy and love today?

Love you all,

Viki

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
