Otherwise what you have is mankind being destroyed for the crimes of angels.

That is exactly what we are saying. The intermix had become so bad that few had not been corrupt. Noah was perfect in his generations, but the rest of the population has been so corrupt by the teachings of these entities that God destroyed it all..... except for Noah and his family and what they put into the boat. An attempt to breed out the blood line so Jesus would not/ could not be a pure decendent of Adam. And it nearly worked.

this story is repeated one way or another in nearly every culture that has a recorded history

So you disagree with post 155? Do you believe that their interpretation of the hebrew is incorrect? If so, why?

I don't know how this happened, but I didn't make the statement in the quote above. The traceback doesn't go back to that statement either :noidea: .

No I don't agree with the post. Largely because every translation I have seen uses a capitol God in this translation. The people that translated our Bibles are in agreement with me. And the text of the sentance would make much less sense if the writer was just speaking of ordinairy men in this case. That's just my take on it.

And Kathyann, after reading most of the Unabridged Babylonian Talmud in the mid 1970's, I'm really very leary of Jewish teachings of what the Bible says. Jesus was not very happy with the way their oral teaching had currupted what Moses had taught. After that study in my early life, I can't disagree with him.

A question........ Why did God create man?

No, a better question is Why is Satan so determined to corrupt and destroy mankind.

I believe I know the answer you are looking for. That would be because we are made in the image of God.

This would go along with your theory that fallen angels corrupted women in order to ruin God's image.

It could also be because God loves us as those of us who are his also love him. The more Satan can steal for himself the better as far as he is concerned. We are the one weapon he can use against God. He hates us because with God, we can overcome.

He could also hate man because God took on human form as our savior.

Satan is determined to destroy mankind because God loves us.

Why did God create man? Because He was bored? Because He thought it was a good idea at the time? Because He needed someone to "manage" earth? (He does not need us at all)

To worship Him, why else?

And the amazing thing is He did it knowing what was coming, knowing we were going to sin big time, knowing He would have to sacrifice His Son.

That is called agape' love. That is called unmerited favor. That is called Grace (and thank God for it every second!).

I disagree. I don't think that God created man to worship Him. He already had the angels to do that. If God merely wanted worship He could have created more angels or simply created man without a free will.

God created man because He wanted a counterpart, a bride that He could marry. This is clearly shown in the revelation of the Bible from Genesis to the book of Revelation. The Bible begins with a marriage and ends with a a marriage.

I think that pretty much hits things right on the head Ovedaya. We aren't created in that position, but given the free will opertunity to grow into the position through free will. Some of us will make it and some won't. Satan just can't stand the fact that when this age is over, the humans left will have a place higher than the angels in the heavenly realm of things. Satan has been trying to destroy or polute mankind from the time of Adam and Eve.

1 Cor 6:1-3

Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unrighteous, and not before the saints? Do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world will be judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters? Do you not know that we shall judge angels ?

NKJV

Don't you just find it fascinating that until Satan convinced Eve to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, that we, as mankind, were not qualified as a race of beings to do that. Satan has had a very highly vested interest in corrupting mankind in every way possible.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
