I love how it feels when my guy holds me tight. Not even necessarily in a hug, but he just holds me and I feel so protected and loved...yeah thats my favorite.

It's strange how that is, isn't it?

I feel a lot more protected around guys than anybody else.... we took a trip with my youth group and I remember that this strange guy that was near me (didn't even know him) was looking me up and down.. our eyes met and I just had that feeling of "You're just an object... once your broken you're worthless".... really really creepy... I remember staying pretty close to my youth pastor following that, and then the other adults (they were three guys) for the rest of the trip  I wanted to keep my making sure my best friend was safe, but that guy just creeped me out.... there is a strange protection..

I also like that with guys, they don't normally go off on this strange limb about things? Like I said earlier, mostly just kind of straight forward... if you ask a quesiton, you'll more than likely get a straight forward answer, mostly without beating around the bush.. that's been my experience, but.. I do'nt know... I want to say they seem more stable, I guess it's the emotion thing... but... yeah... guys are amazing :whistling:

Another thing? I haven't quite gotten into the whole "Oh my goodness! He's SOOO HOT!" thing... I normally notice that they are cute AFTER I like them  lol

One thing about guys though... I HATE IT when guys take their shirts off! Please don't answer the door with a shirt off! lol more than that, the whole new trendy thing with the pants down to the knees? gross... i dotn' want to see your boxers more than anything.. if you HAVe to have that style... at least wear a long shirt that covers those boxers, whatever color they may be

Yeah, that's my main pet peeve about guys is that so many wear their shirts off..... I dont' care how many muscles you have, or how little you have.... I think it's gross lol Other girls might think otherwise, but that is where I stand on it

My 4 sons, ranging in age from nearly 8 to nearly 14 are constantly shirtless. We live in the tropics where 33 deg is pretty normal, so it's shirts off. I like it actually! :24:

Some men are the jack of all trades and some can't even tie their own shoe laces. :24:

Maybe that is why someone wrote a book, "Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus."

My husband died 21 years ago. He was the jack of all trades. :24:

For the last 8 years I haven been flying Solo. :24:

Don't unleash the claws ladies( :24: ) but I think men are more accepting of us more than our fellow women folk.

Like, women (some) judge each other in 2 minutes flat just by how one looks. A man on the other hand will accept you no matter what your figure is like.....I think because men like "women" in general, they aren't as picky ...as women tend to be. :24:

Men aren't bad to look at :24: and they do strange things around the house that makes things better.....like FIXING broken things!! Oh and they love breaking things too, (for some unknown reason!!.......)

They also give pretty good hugs as well. :24:

We break things so we can fix them and get the hugs.

Only if you have the legs for it, Eric. :noidea:

I love men. I'm most attracted to those who still have a few rough edges. My husband is happier in the woods than at a social function, but he has a heart of gold. He is the most generous man I know, despite the fact that we generally live from paycheck to paycheck. Although he doesn't attend church and has little "training" in the Scriptures, he somehow has a deep and abiding faith in the goodness and mercy of God. Often, he is the calming influence for me when things are falling down around me, saying, "It'll all work out, don't worry".

Men are definitely more straightforward than we are, as someone else said. They aren't as good at playing games. I like that about them. Men are more "black and white" in their thinking. Though sometimes it's infuriating, more often it helps me to gain perspective.

I have to admit, for some reason, I feel more comfortable in a group of men than with a group of women. (unless they are my friends, of course)

A man doesn't have to be stereotipically handsome to be attractive. If he is comfortable with who he is, a woman will be comfortable with him. And, as Eliyahuw mentioned, if he is a good listener, he'll have his pick of woman. :th_praying:

Yep, I love men! :noidea:

Peace,

Fiosh

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
