Jesus said love your enemies and pray for your enemies and if you dont love your enemies then you dont love god this is not easy when someone close to you gets jumped and battered by a gang ive been praying hard the last couple of days and heard a song about these things Jesus said, and i think god was revealing to me that he created us and put his love into us ,in the begining,in adam and eve. and that he sees the good in all of us what little love that we do have came from him, so that love, comes from god ,even in the smallest degrees, which is him because this love comes from god,and if we dont love others, its the same as not loving him, god,

I agree with you, it is difficult when there is a victim who is close to us involved.

I do understand where you are coming from. Our family were dreadfully hurt by someone who is now serving time in prison for what he did. He shows no remorse. Yet I do pray for him and hope he does come to repentence and accepts Christ. Without Christ he would most likely reoffend and this realisation helpped me come to a point of forgiveness.

I'll pray for you.

A difficulty I had once had was that forgiveness is not a one time thing. Its NOT "ok im done with that now" ...Its an attitude. Its something we do daily or hourly depending on who hurt us or who were are forgiving. It's trusting God when we cant understand whats going on. Its knowing God is in control and that His plan may not make sense but its for a reason. Its something we do for ourselves not the person we are forgiving. Its our blood pressure our peace or sleep that we are ginving back to ourselves when we forgive. Not the other person. And it certainly isnt permission for them to keep on doing it. You can forgive and not be around that person anymore. But you should forgive because Jesus says to, if He can forgive the people who nailed Him on the cross as they were doing it. I can find strength in Him to forgive who wronged me.

what is really hard for me is the law these days dont make a lot of sense, this angers me,that sometimes situations are ignored and the enemies get off scott free, then they go do the same crime again and again, on some innocent victim. i cant comprehend.

I have been dealing with this for years. I was beaten and raped and struggled with forgiveness ever since. In my case I had three to forgive. I found that at the time, being unable to forgive made it impossible for me to accept love or show love. I basically kicked my then-fiance out of my life for that reason. It wasn't until, maybe, a year or so ago I was able to completely forgive the men. Forgiveness has nothing to do with forgetting, since I will never be able to forget what happened to me. Forgiveness, for me, meant that the thoughts no longer have any power over me and I can discuss what happened without getting all emotional and I no longer wish to see those men dead.

When I was able to "move on," I hate that term but it seems to fit here, I began to feel love once again; love from friends and even clients. I was sort of numb to it before. I met and married a wonderful man earlier this year and I am sure had I not come to grips with the necessity of forgiveness, Mike would not be in my life today.

I can't say it strongly enough: forgiveness is absolutely essential for you, your relationship with others, with G-d and even with yourself. It has nothing to do with the person you are supposed to forgive.

I can't add anything more that hasn't been said here by the others. I was trying to say something that would benefit you in some way as I know the injustice of it all. But instead I got blessed just reading the love of God flowing from the testimonies and now have tear filled eyes. I just know it's better to love than to hold on to other's wrongs toward us it free's us as I know this first hand and allows the Spirit of God to come in and give us the further help we need. The love of God is shed abroad within our hearts but when we hold unforgiveness towards others it ties God's hands to work further in our lives but when we freely choose to forgive others as Christ freely forgave us well as it's at that moment that we untie God's hands to move further within our hearts and that love of God only grows stronger and more dearer to our hearts and we learn further of the love of God in our Christian walks. I am sorry for the wrongs that have come into your life but you've come to the right place and I'm glad you shared

I agree with you it is extremely difficult to show love to those who hate you or batter you. I cant tell you how many times in my life I took the wrong road and got angry at people for their bad behavior. Check out my testamony, I have not had a cake walk for a life.

However, we are called to be better than that, and that is what I plan to do. Sometimes forgiveness is a hard thing but if you have to forgive daily and ask the Lord to help you with it. Thats what I did and I was able to forgive the unforgiveable time and time again.

Plus, I look at it like this too. Rember when Jesus was on the cross and said "Father forgive them for they know not what they do." Thats how I tend to look at people who attack me these days, as I am not a window, and no one knows whats in my heart except the Lord. I do not have to lower myself to defend myself, I let the Lord speak for me. It says in the bible, do not judge lest ye be judged. I like that verse a lot, and fair is fair. Our Father is a wonderful father indeed.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
