Thank you all for your insight, Wayne you said wise words when you mentioned:

So does motive mean anything? I believe those with pure motive will have submitted themselves to Christ and rely on the insight given them by the Holy Spirit. Will they be 100% right all the time? No but they will have the essential elements of Christianity down.

Thank you all,Angels

Some false teachers are mere showmen deceiving intentionally for gain . . . others are truly deceived . . . .

2Th 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

1Ti 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith [or the Truth], giving heed to seducing spirits, and [thus believing] doctrines of devils.

2Ti 3:12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them.

My ancesters came to Salt Lake with Brigham Young, and my family knew that I was a total criminal worthy of the death penalty, and though they witnessed the change in my life after I met Jesus Christ personally, they still grieved that I was lost because I am a true believer, and don't believe in mormonism anymore. They are brained washed in that religion, and most of them don't know a whole lot of what some of the leaders have done in the name of mormonism. They are very difficult to convert. I have only one brother who like me came out, and he came out through his wife whom he married after he came back from the Korean war. Do the best you can by sowing the seeds of the true gospel and leave it up to The Holy Spirit. Mormonism is definitely a cult. They don't know they are deceived they think we are. But bottom line for all of us we are responsible for what we believe, after we reach the age of accountability, which is known for each of us only by God.

I think some false teachers know what they're doing but I think most of them don't know they're teaching false doctrine. We have to be careful when we study, that we don't subconsciously "read into the Bible" flase teachings that we've been indoctrinated with. (Of course we don't know they're false that's why there's a need for caution.) For example, I always thought "Thou shalt not lie" was one of the 10 commandments. I was taught that it was and as many times as I've read the Bible I didn't "catch" that it isn't one of the ten commandments until last fall. Also I know Bible literalists refer to the JWs as a cult because they don't believe in a triune God. Yet, a three in one triune God is not literally, in the Bible.

If fruits are an indication of the heart than I have to be honest and say I've never met a Mormon that I didn't like.

Of course. Mormons are "good people." Just as Budhists are good people. Just as Hindis are good people. Just as secular humanists are good people, and atheists, and Wiccans, etc. etc.

Charlie,

I have read a bunch of your posts today ---- You are ALL over the place, full of opinion but not full of very much knowledge.

Regarding this specific post, please permit me to correct a few of your misconceptions.

<<Charlie, me think that you have not read the Word as many times as you imply.>>

I'm visiting today but don't worry, I'm just visiting I don't plan on staying around too long this time. There are other boards. I do give my opinions but don't like long cut-n-pastes. I figure most people here have read the Bible quite extensively so they should know what I'm referring to when I'm posting.

I've read the Bible several times. I believe in triune as in there's The Father, The Son Jesus, and The Holy Spirit. They are there in Genesis sort of "talking among themselves" as I take it. However, they are separate, not one, separate. The ONE in three persons doctrine didn't come about until well over 300 years into Christianity. Do some research and you'll see that this is true. Besides, Jesus is sitting at the right hand of the Father. If that doesn't make it clear I don't know what would.

Still, thou shalt not lie IS NOT one of the official ten commandments. I think lying is a sin and it is mentioned in other parts of the Bible. But, literally speaking it is NOT listed as one of the ten. You attempted to work it into the others but the words "thou shalt not lie" wasn't there, was it? Why do you want to add it there, if it's not listed as such. False testimony refers to giving false information like in a court case. I was only trying to make the point that we take some thoughts that we have about the Bible for granted, even if they're not entirely accurate.

Sounds like you just don't like my opinions. I bet they're different from yours. I suspect that's what this entire post is really about. That's why you slurred me with the comment at the beginning of this post.

Charlie,

Believe it or not friend, this fella who calls himself shadow2B is one of those "insightful and knowledgable" saints of God I spoke of.

NO KIDDING! :t2:

Don't allow his Texas draw and humility to trick you into underestimating him. You may go cross-eyed reading his stuff though... :oww:

Gary, I love you brother and thank you!

Blessings,

Wayne

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
